Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sliced, diced, and especially minced, and now it is time for you to post until the slicing, dicing, and mincing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BLESSED!
-
Fabulous photos in last night's posts, John G!
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning, Laura. What brings you here at this hour??

Good morning, all!
-
I slept well. I had two very vivid dreams, although I no longer remember the first one now. In the second, I was sitting in a New York bar in the early 1930s. I was dressed in a suit and tie, sitting at a table with another man I hardly knew. I had been brought to this bar by a coupler of people I knew to meet a singer or see her perform. The friends had stepped out and never returned.
-
From my chair, I could see a bit of the basement where a lot of commotion - possibly involving Prohibitiom - was going on, but I could not see any of the people making the commotion. I barely spoke to the man with me at the table; I was thinking of some way to remove myself gracefully from the situation. I do not remember what caused us to be outside on the street, but I was afraid the man at the table was going to mu me and steal my wallet. Amd I woke up.
-
DR vixmom, I'm so sorry you lost your Metrocard.
-
I really liked DR John G's photos last night.
-
DR George, I am so envious of your household skills. Your sister's ceiling light looks great.
-
Cardinal Timothy Dolan is giving his last mass at St Patrick's Cathedral today. Good riddance to the smarmy Rethuglican. I always found him oily and insincere.
I never liked him.

DR George, I am so envious of your household skills. Your sister's ceiling light looks great.
Yes, I meant to comment on George's photos, too. Really nice!

Good morning, all.

Long night with too many trips to the bathroom.
-
Merry Christmas Eve! Tonight we play a bunch of carols in between the services.
-
Glad y’all enjoyed the photos. The main lights were strung across a copse of oaks around the electric cooperative. My dad used to work for a consortium of electric cooperatives.

I am celebrating Christmas Eve with a raw throat and no voice.

Other than that, I feel fine.

My friends’ annual Christmas Eve Eve partay was great, and I hope BK’s Do will be equally so.

DR George I enjoyed the photos from last night.

From DR John,

Wow. The photos of Johnson City are beautiful.
-
George, thanks for the congrats to Keith.

George, thanks for fixing John's photos last night.

From DR George,
And here it is with the light off...and you can see a matching tabletop light in the bottom left corner:
They look nice together.

From DR Rodzinski,
There used to be a chap in LA who ran tours of infamous spots around the city called the Find a Death Tours. I interviewed him once for a freelance thing, then TPunk and I went on one of his tours. Except nobody else signed up that day, so he just drive us around LA in his jeep. We tried to get into Paramount studios, and it worked. We just wandered around in there. Was kinda crazy. That was also the day we drive by Charo’s house as she was pulling out of her garage.
You got lucky with the tour that seems perfect for your current job.
-
Rodzinski, thank you for the birth congrats ;D

Grandpa, DIL, and Grandson and I went to the cemetery this morning. Little One wasn't freaked out about it at all. He was amazed to find his name on Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's stone.
-
Then we came to my house and made waffles. And he decorated the tree. I hadn't done it.

I like his reaction to the cemetery.

-
I'm up, I'm up - over ten hours of really good sleep. Still a big nasal and congested, but hopefully some of that will clear up as the day goes by.
-
Rain is coming down pretty good.
-
If it abates, then I'll do the garage stuff - if it doesn't, that will all go in my bedroom closet.
-
Have no idea how many we'll be tonight.
-
But I've made enough sauce for a small army.
-
Hoping the rain will stop before six.
-
Sauce is a'simmerin'.
-
And so am I.
-
Interestingly, the power must have surged because the Mac Mini was off, but the clocks were fine and so were the modem and router. They're in a surge protector, whereas the Mac Mini is in the wall plug.
-
I think I'll have a few bites of the tuna pasta salad so I can take my pills.
-
One must, you know.
-
Party vibes for MR BK.

I stopped raining around 10:00 this morning :)

Rain has quieted down quite a bit, but I've already shoved everything into the closet.

I think there was some report that we'd get a big windstorm today too, but nothing's happening at all here, either.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!

Keith got Wordle in four.
Congrats to Keith!
-
Well, we're all going over to mom's in a bit. The family will exchange gifts tonight, then the extended family and friends will go to my sister's tomorrow.

-
Bruce have a wonderful Christmas Eve Do and vibes your voice is ok.
-
Sauce is still simmering. I've shaved and in a moment I will shower, then start boiling the water for the pasta - making four pounds so lots of water.
-
Already had two people cancel, so scared of a little rain - it hasn't rained here in two hours now.

-
BK, hope your Christmas Eve Do is very successful!!
-
If anyone shows up.
-
I thought for a while it might be twenty people. I don't care, really, those who show up always have a good time and eat lots of food.

Sorry.

That is what is most important.
-
Do Vibes! Wish I was there!
-
Showered.
-
Pasta is cooking. Four pounds.
-
Thirty-seven minutes to the Do. Hope some people come at six - I'm HUNGRY.
-
Turned off the heat in the house. Will light a few candles shortly.
-
Everything is relatively clean and organized - except my closet. THAT is a four-star disaster at the moment.
-

Do vibes and no do rags for BK.
-
I don’t think BK is a do rag kind of guy.
-
Listening to A Broadway Christmas while waiting for my tamales to warm up.
-
We played between the candlelight services tonight. Our leader was out with a stomach bug, and I filled in for her. I did okay, but I think one song was marked wrong.
-
Was greeted with a nice surprise when I got home tonight
-
This particular hibiscus hasn’t really bloomed much this year, so this really is a surprise.
-
Was greeted with a nice surprise when I got home tonight
Lovely.
-
Candles are lit, tuna pasta salad is out, chocolate donuts are out, Hawaiian rolls are out, butter is out, and I'm the only one here. I'm gonna have a plate right now.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Was greeted with a nice surprise when I got home tonight
Beautiful!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Merry Christmas Eve to all!
-
Do vibes to BK.
-
Vibes of good health to Chas an BK and anyone else who needs them.
-
I am curled up on the sofa, dressed in a fleece pullover and sweats, and under a fleece throw. This apartment is very drafty and my little heater can’t keep up when it’s windy or cold. I am unwinding from 1.5 years of way too much to do.
-
Food’s here. Bbl.
-
Merry Christmas Eve to all!
Merry Christmas Eve to you, too!
-
Hi, Jeanne. Merry Christmas Eve!
-
These tamales are enormous and they are enormous in flavor. The masa is soft and delicious while the pork is tender and delicious. I am very happy.
-
Settling in with The Bishop’s Wife.
-
Fireworks are going off in the streets.
-
And I have a pie to make.
-
Merry Christmas Eve!
-
I was a reader for the Christmas Eve service. I read the story of the wise men. From King James. THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.
-
I like King James at Christmas. I like the wording. It's so much more poetic.
-
I’m back, with a full tummy.
-
The news here in LA is the weather. We were warned of an atmospheric river, possibly 8
inches (!) of rain and flash floods through Saturday. We could flood with much less than that. I canceled an appointment and declined an invitation. It has rained all day, but has let up at times, helpfully.
-
I must now go back to yesterday’s posts and see DR John G’s photos.
-
Our big rainstorm has been .04 inches. Disappointing.
-
Settling in with The Bishop’s Wife.
I won’t tell the Bishop!
-
Stay safe, Jeanne.
-
Stay safe, Jeanne.
DITTO for DR Jeanne and all of our L.A. denizens.
-
Merry Christmas Eve.
-
I didn't do too much today, but I'm exhausted.
-
That's cool that you directed the bell choir, DR John G. Did you have to play at the same time?
-
THAT'S multi-tasking!
-
Time for some French Apple Tart and some viewing.
-
Hi, Singdaw.
Glad to hear you are singing again.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, DR Jeanne. Hope you can get some much needed rest. I know there is still so much for you to do.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Not a creature was stirring...
-
Lovely to see so many familiar faces here this evening.
-
Sad trombone.
I did not get even ONE number on either PB ticket.
I hope DR VIXMOM has better luck.
-
More DO vibes!
-
Our county has just been added to the HEAVY FOG warning.
-

I agree, but pastor didn’t use Luke tonight. He used Matthew.
-
That's cool that you directed the bell choir, DR John G. Did you have to play at the same time?
I didn’t direct. Sorry if I left that impression. I just played her bells.
-
Settling in with The Bishop’s Wife.
I won’t tell the Bishop!
Thank you. She wouldn’t like it.
-
I have an apple scotch pie in the oven.
-
Starting a movie called Hampstead with Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleason. It’s okay. But the cast, including Lesley Manville, deserve a better script.
-
Merry Christmas to our non-west coast folk. Here it will be soon enough.
-
I’m waiting for the kids to fall deep asleep.
-
Hope the Do was a doozie.
-
I gotta get presents from the garage to under the tree.
-
Wrapping paper is so loud though.
-
Let’s close out this page.
-
And open a fresh page here.
-

Hiya G! Merry Christmas!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
They are all about the Do.
-
My hand issues were the worst they've ever been during the party - at one point, I had to excuse myself. I'm ready to just put my head in the oven and end it all.
-
Then, halfway through the notes, they locked up again and I could go no further. It finally abated and I was able to write the final paragraph.
-
Just awful
