Well, you've read the notes, the notes had tech, and now it is time for you to post until the tech cows come home.

And speaking of the price of gas, while driving Margo home last night, we saw that a Chevron station near her home had regular unleaded (now, there's an oxymoron ;) ) for $3.99⁹. I mentioned that I got gas not too long ago for only much less than that. I said that I'd look at different places before I went home that night. So, Fred Meyer was $3.19⁹. The Chevron in Tumwater (literally kitty-corner to Fred Meyer) was at $3.99⁹! Costco (where I actually got gas last night) was $2.99⁹! And Trading Post which is the closest gas station to my house was also $2.99⁹! It's been a LONG time since I've seen gas as low as $2.99⁹!

From last night:
Congrats, Jane, on Keith's Wordle score!
Thanks, Kevin, for the Wordle comment, and Congrats to you for your Wordle 2-fer! :D
-
And speaking of the name "Kevin," this YouTube video short just came through on my feed:
why the name Kevin is so hated in France (https://youtube.com/shorts/8ep0-DSoWZc)
:o

And now, to bed...for real. 8)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm feeling under the weather; not sick but not blooming with health. I'm just feeling puny.
-
"Faster than Sound," the last big number I've got to deal with in High Spirits, is 100 pages of score, and it'sx taking forever.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Sitting in a parking lot. Traffic was easy this morning.

Dino’s not at the piano this morning?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Dino’s not at the piano this morning?
No, but I need to be soon. I need to spend a good couple of hours on early-2026 music. Not just reading it in the recliner. Sitting my ASS in front of it at the keyboard.
-
One hundred pages!!
Feel better vibes for DR Elmore!
-
BK's gas price was $4.29.
Swap those first two digits and you'll have what ours has been this week: $2.49.
-
Jane, I’m knee-deep in a fun book called Bug Hollow by Michelle Huneven. There are several passing references to someone named John Griffin in the book.
-
I paid $2.09 a gallon last night. The tank was about half empty. It took $16+ to fill the tank.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.

Well, not much. Last night I started watching an old DVD I've had here for years but I'd never seen the movie:
ISLAND IN THE SUN - with Belafonte, Dandridge, Fontaine, etc. Never saw it, never really knew anything about it. And I still don't know much because I was out like a light no more than a third of the way through it. To be resumed.
-
I wonder if there are bugs in Bug Hollow.
-
Bug-eyed bugs.
-
While her withers wither with her.
-
It's Friday.
-
That is satisfying.
-
:)
-
Today, in addition to some piano work:
One load of laundry.
Take ornaments off the tree.
Tonight I'm attending a semi-staged workshop performance of a musical written by a friend and occasional colleague.
That's my Friday.

Yes the ice skating was very entertaining last night.

Happy Birthday, Elvis Presley.

One of my favorite Elvis movie moments

You'd think his girlfriend in that scene might have helped him scratch his neck and his back or swat away flies away or whatever he was doing, though, wouldn't you?
-
That's Joanna Moore who was married to Ryan O'Neal at the time....she's Tatum O'Neal's mother.
I love that movie....and especially the comeuppance Joanna gets in the courtroom!
-
From DR Kevin,
Wordle: 2/6. My opening word had 4 correct letters, including 2 in the correct positions.
Wow, congratulations!

Better to be early than stuck in traffic.

Jane, I’m knee-deep in a fun book called Bug Hollow by Michelle Huneven. There are several passing references to someone named John Griffin in the book.
LOL. Do they call him Griff? Has anyone ever called you that?

Great! Thanks for the reminder!
-
Follow That Dream is one of the better Elvis films for sure.
-
My Dad gave me a nickel to buy a pickle.
I didn’t buy a pickle.
I bought some choo’n gum.

Where’s Teresa Brewer when we need her the most?

Great! Thanks for the reminder!
You are welcome. I wondered if you planned to watch it.

Absolutely!

We're also looking forward to "All Creatures Great and Small" Season 6, which will be starting in a few days.

I own a copy of that. I’m sure it was more scandalous when it came out.
-
Where’s Teresa Brewer when we need her the most?
She’s too fickle.
-
Jane, I’m knee-deep in a fun book called Bug Hollow by Michelle Huneven. There are several passing references to someone named John Griffin in the book.
LOL. Do they call him Griff? Has anyone ever called you that?
He’s not really a character, just someone who’s been mentioned a couple of times.
I guess people have called me Griff. I only pay attention when they call me late to dinner.
-
Got fourth graders today. Neighboring teachers had to come in to quiet them down. More children who find it physically impossible to stop talking.
-
This is a weird day. It doesn't feel like a Friday or any other other day.
(I knew you all would want to know that.)
-
We're also looking forward to "All Creatures Great and Small" Season 6, which will be starting in a few days.
So are we.

That wasn't as cute all blown up ;D

I watched three episodes of HAPPINESS recommended this week by DR FREDDIE.
It was most enjoyable!
-
I guess Elvis' birthday was YESTERDAY....but at least I remembered it in the same week.
-
A lot of the heroes in movies written/directed by Sam Fuller were named Griff.
Just like Billy Wilder had a character with the last name Sheldrake in several movies.
-
Page Three.
It was quite windy this morning. Things have settled down considerably wind wise.
-
Teresa Brewer was always a favorite of mine.

Today at the gym a couple gifted us "The Book of Charlie: Wisdom from the Remarkable American Life of a 109-Year-Old Man" by David von Drehle. After reading the book they felt we would like it and purchased a copy for us. They also gave one to our neighbor/friends that go to the gym at the same time we do. Conveniently the woman and I were next to each other on the treadmills when she gifted them to us.
-
Keith has started the paperback. I put a hold on the book at my library. The print on the paperback is small and light.
-
Good afternoon.
-
After a couple of days of gray and gloomy weather (which left us a little bit of rain, for which we are very grateful), it is cold (for us) and sunny.
-
I am headed for the LA area for a meeting tomorrow. I am going to walk to the airport. Well, to the public transportation that will take me to the airport. It's about 2.5 miles.
-
Safe travel vibes.
-
I hope you aren't carrying too much for your trip since you have to walk to public transportation.
-
It all fits under the seat. I travel light.
-
I may have a major rant when I get home. So you can look forward to that.

Definitely OK with a major rant, if it's warranted!
-
Safe and smooth travels, Laura.

I hope it isn't as bad as you fear.

I survived.

I’m now waiting for some Greek food before ushering for Shin Yun, not my favorite event of the year. But we are told we need to work at least one performance.
-
I survived.
Great news, John.

Good evening!

Thanks, DRs George and Jane!

Good thing I'm not planning to apply for a job in France! I also read that "Kevin" is looked down upon in Germany.

I'm going to watch Ann Hampton Callaway's livestream from 54 Below in a few minutes. Her sister, Liz, is her special guest.

Islands in the Sun. That is what we are.
-
Indiana Hoosiers looking good for a trip to Miami to face…Miami. For all the marbles.
-
Unplugged the outside Xmas lights. Festive no more.
-
DR RODZINSKI is correct.....even though it is only the third quarter, I think we can safely say that IU will be moving on to the finals.
-
Rain is forecast for tomorrow and that's okay.
-
Travel vibes for DR LAURA.
-
We had joy,
We had fun.
We had islands seasons in the sun.
-
I, for one, am looking forward to DR Laura's rant. :D
-
The DH likes to watch Dr. Pimple Popper.
-
I, on the other hand, can't even look at the screen.
-
Squeamish.
-
And ticklish.
-
But that's another matter.
-
Tomorrow morning, I am attending the funeral of the mother of a work colleague.
-
And in the evening, a benefit concert by a bunch of local cantors. Musical theater repertoire.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Good night, Singdaw.
-
Onward!
-
Five!
-
We were almost an hour delayed while the mechanics fixed the brakes. I might have had an exciting story if they hadn't.
-
Shen Yun was not well attended.
-
Thankfully no more ushering for it until next year.
-
We were almost an hour delayed while the mechanics fixed the brakes. I might have had an exciting story if they hadn't.
I’m glad they’re fixed.
-
Me too!
-
I’m tired.
-
I’m so tired, I’m actually listening to Hot Spot.
-
I’ve never actually listened to Hot Spot.
-
Does anyone still listen to Hot Spot?
-
I’ll drink to that.
-
I don't think I've heard Hot Spot.
-
New brake vibes for DR LAURA.
-
Certainly a full day for DR singdaw tomorrow.
-
It's Saturday here in Indiana.
-
Not much on
tv
-
I did get the laundry done this evening. So I don't have to do that later on Saturday.
-
Still Friday here.
-
I don't think I've heard Hot Spot.
You've missed nothing.
-
Good night, all.
-

Very cool!
-
Today, my niece and I took down and stored away my mom's artificial Christmas tree.
-
After that, I ordered a couple of pizzas from Domino's (veggie for my niece and others, meat for me and others) and there were no leftovers of the meat pizza.
-
Then the other ladies came over and we played two games of Phase 10...I, not surprisingly, lost both. But I came close on the second game. ;D
-
Shelly left with my niece after the first game, and after the second game, I did a little shopping at WinCo for some diet Pepsi, which is now in my garage.
-
I had a dinner of frozen foodstuffs and now still need to take my evening meds.
-
Which I have done now.
-
Tomorrow, I need to pick up a refill of a prescription that is ready to be picked up, so that's good
-
At some point, it got renewed early, so I still have about 20 pills left, so I have extras. :)
-
And now ..

Hi, G!
-
Are you not improving at Phase 10?
-
Hello, R!
-
Are you not improving at Phase 10?
I know how to play, but it's really all just a luck of the draw. ::)
-
;D
-
Gotta make wise decisions though!
-
Been awhile since I played. My aunt and uncle in the Bay Area were big fans.
-
Their other faves were card games Pay Me, and Hand and Foot.
There was also a dominoes and a dice game we played a good deal.
But Phase 10 was in the mix.
-
Gotta make wise decisions though!
Definitely! Doesn't always happen, though.
-

I've never heard of Pay Me or Hand and Foot. What are they like?
-
Oy and vey.
-
What a long day it was.
-
Never got to post because the iPhone did an update overnight and nuked my ten o'clock alarm - luckily, I woke up at eleven-twenty and was out the door by eleven-forty and got to the theater just in time.
-
Then I got home late, had to order a burger, and then write the notes and tend to a few other things.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
