Well, you've read the notes, the notes previewed preview one, and now it is time for you to post until the preview one cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BENEVOLENT!
-
Notes previewed. Postviewed.
-
I feel like one doesn’t see French dressing out in the world so much anymore.
-
Hello, R! I didn't see your "Hi" to me until after BK closed the posts yesterday.

Oh, no! Vibes that gets resolved with no damage!

More modern major miracle vibes for BK!

TOD: Salad with blue cheese dressing seems to be my favorite these days, and seems reliable from almost anywhere.
I used to like a pear and arugula salad quite a lot, so maybe it's time to have another one soon. Maybe a pear and arugula salad with blue cheese?
Caesar salad was another favorite. I'm not sure why I haven't had one in a long while.
-
Preview vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
I got sidetracked yesterday. But here I am now.
-
A young blonde woman wanted to be a police detective. So she went to the Poice Department and spoke to the Chief.
He asked: What is the square root of 4?
She said: Two.
He asked: What is the square root of 100?
She replied: Ten.
He asked: Who shot Abraham Lincoln?
She replied: I don't know.
He said: Come back when you find out.
She went to lunch with a friend who asked her how the interview had gone.
The young blonde woman said: Great. I was hired and I'm already working on a murder case!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
I never said "Good night" last night.
-
And I never logged out.
-
I'll all out of whack.
-
Whack is in short supply.
-
I will be glad to return to a normal schedule.
-
Our current "feels like" is 2 degrees.

Good morning, all!

ROTFLMAO!

I slept well, and I suspect it had more to do with the arrival yesterday of Extra Strength Tylenol than anything else.
-
I'll all out of whack.
Sending more coping vibes.

BK, I'm very happy to know about your direct deposit. What this means to me is that you are on the Social Securfity payment plan of the second Wednesday of the month, unlike me who is on the third Wednesday. That payment, whilch will land next Wednesday, the 21st, cannot come soon enough.
-
Also, I'm very pleased last night's preview went well. It's too bad the audience wasn't larger. When I was doing the cabaret act "Just Good Friends," 1981-83, it was impossible getting friends to come. I believe most of our meager crowds came from our appearances on Fred Goldhaber's WBAI FM program and benefits for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. The interview in Blueboy magazine helped, but not much.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's so strange about getting ASSES in seats, especially when it's free. FREE!!!
Do any of the small theeders in LA have a free "senior night" preview? I'm guessing no. A few of our local ones have been doing it for the 30 years I've been here. They nearly always have a full house, cast and crew are guaranteed an attentive audience, and I'm not aware of any sign that it's ever impacted regular attendance.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two!
-
We have a theater group at the center where I usher. For their free preview, they usually invite the ushers. There are more than 300 of us. The first time, it was fairly packed. Now it's down to 30 or less.

I love Russian salad with beets. I should make some soon.
https://theviewfromgreatisland.com/russian-beet-salad-recipe/
-
I would probably add a little potato.
-
And some lime jello?
-
A uniquely delicious salad I'd love to find again is the chopped salad at La Scala Boutique on Little Santa Monica. I knew it in the late 1970s. I should actually be looking for a copycat recipe and start making it myself.

From DR Singdaw,
When the doctor said I wouldn't pass a driving test, she meant with uncorrected vision.
I knew exactly what you meant. That happened to me in my early 20's and I didn't drive until I got my new glasses.
I'm glad you didn't have any diabetes damage.

I've not seen The Amazing Mrs. Holliday. I thought I had seen all of Deanna Durban's films.

Futz & Finesse were my favorite Vaudeville team.
-
Of neighborhoods I have lived in, Hells Kitchen and The (Washington) Heights had musicals named for them. Just need Park Slope and Upper East Side, the Musicals.
-
My favorite Deanna Durbin movie is FIRST LOVE.....but I enjoy them all. She sang some lovely classical tunes that with the exception of Jeannette MacDonald none of those MGM lovelies could sing without screeching and burning the eardrums....especially Jane Powell and Kathryn Grayson whose voices hurt my ears than AND now.
-

Wasn't West Side Story going to be East Side Story when it was still about Jews and Catholics?
-
Google's AI says:
"The title "East Side Story" was the original working title for the musical that became West Side Story. Leonard Bernstein was the composer, and he initially hoped that his friends Betty Comden and Adolph Green would write the lyrics.
However, Comden and Green were unavailable because they were committed to another project (the musical version of Peter Pan), so the job eventually went to the young Stephen Sondheim, marking his Broadway debut as a lyricist."

DR FREDDIE that is what I read as well.

Starting Materialists. I loved Celine Song’s Past Lives. I’m undecided on this one, but I am only 15 minutes in.
-
I think it’s because I don’t like Dakota Johnson. I don’t find her interesting enough to be the foundation of a movie.
-
And to have Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal interested in her strains credulity.

Yes, today was the final day.

Well, I finished Materialists. It’s a sweet, unsurprising romance that is nice. It’s definitely a movie for women. No on-screen villains. Not much drama. But there are moments when you can imagine fans of Chris Evans swooning. Celine Song has given him lines everyone would love to hear someone say to them sometime.

So on Instagram (is anyone else on Instagram?), I follow theaidsmemorial (https://www.instagram.com/theaidsmemorial?igsh=MWZzMnVtNG52c2dnNA==) where people post stories and pictures of loved ones who have died of AIDS. The stories are sad, inspiring, and everything in between.

Anyway, a few days ago, a story was posted about a man named Mark Milano who died very recently. But what I thought was pretty cool is that in the second picture of this set of photos:
