In Flee, the Russians, especially the police, are horrific. There's a grotesque scene where the hero as a boy leaves his apartment in Moscow on the day that the first McDonald's opens there. Given the recent stories of Putin rebranding the McDonald's, it's all too apt.

Today was my first driving trip to Tacoma.  I had an appointment with my pain doctor.  Then I had to stop at the store, and when I came out of the store the sky opened up.
