As I listen to sacred music this morning, this is what I know:

So sad DR JOHN G.

Has the fat bastard said anything about the disaster? Not that I really want to hear his bull - but I'm sure every one of our other presidents would already be planning a trip to Texas.

Next Sunday's performance will be a signed one. The woman who did such a beautiful job of it last time was sitting in the audience with a script, discreetly planning her stuff, and for this show she'll be using an assistant. It makes for a thrilling event and I look forward to it.

Trying to roll this YouTube out again because it seems timely somehow.

With the new law making the disparity for who gets health care even more clear, as between the haves and the have-nots:  (and I guess with the new Superman movie opening this week :) )

Imagining "Lois Lane" from KISS ME, KATE as a welcoming triage nurse at a Premium emergency room.

What dance songs and dances were your favorites in your teen years?

A recreation of a favorite of mine.  My guess is that the guy wearing glasses in the front row choreographed this.

For the 1970s, are "Turn the Beat Around" and "Heaven Knows" considered dance songs?

Or do you mean stuff more like "The Hustle" or "Le Freak"?

This song is originally from the 1970s (which were my teens), but I think Steve and Eydie's cover version (which they released under the pseudonyms "Parker and Penny" to fool the airplay people) may have been later.

It was danced to at Jewish events in the day.

Steve and Eydie  - "Hallelujah"  [not the Leonard Cohen song]

"Hallelujah" was Steve and Eydie's final single to chart.
