B&B? Bedknobs and Broomsticks? Haven't seen it. Bed and Breakfast, yes.

And you wouldn't believe how many dinner invitations and offers of company editors get from actors who want to hang out at the editing room to get a peek at their scenes or maybe buddy up in the hopes that they'll receive favorable treatment from those with the scissors. Could this be why my most recent films have main characters that are DEAD?

Knife and Fork described their place as looking like a house you'd see on "Cops". That kind of irritated me, because they're in my neighborhood and it looks better than *my* house!

Last weekend Paul painted the outside of my bomb shelter (it came with the house) Anyway, it's right next to the garage and the door on the shelter looked so good it made the garage door look terrible, so this afternoon I left a little early and painted the garage door and front door. I think I did it just in time. It was barely warm enough to paint and we may have snow showers over night

My sister did not have insurance and Merck provided her depression medicine free through some program. I can find out the details if anyone is interested. Just took a fax from her physician confirming the necessity of said medicine.

Wonder if Joanne Woodward found it interesting that Kathryn Givney was playing her mother and four years before Givney had played Allison Hayes' mother in Woodward debut film COUNT THREE AND PRAY?

I also found out today that the previous owners of my house never put up Christmas decorations. That's really a shocker because they even had "Jesus is the light of the world" light switch plates. I also can't believe it because this house is all set for decorations. They have little hooks for lights all around the garage doors and electric outlets in several places outside. Paul has volunteered to help me decorate. I'm going to do the outside but not the inside this year.

And of course the TOD reminds ME of the I LOVE LUCY episode that takes place in California - when the foursome starts discussing the annoying habits of each other:

Ricky drums his fingers on the table...Lucy stirs her coffee over and over....Ethel makes noise when she eats...and Fred jingles his keys in his pocket.

Ricky: Breakfas' wooden be breakfas' without you pounding out the anvil chorus on your coffee cup.

Fred: When you eat, it sounds like a cow pulling its foot out of the mud.

Ethel: For 20 years I felt like I was married to the Good Humor Man.

Lucy: Of course I'm used to it now, but it used to drive me crazy....

And later:

Ricky: You are deliberately NOT stirring your coffee.

Ethel: I need the keys to the car, unless you need them to play a tune.

Fred: How about a couple of choruses of Cow Cow Boogie?

DR EDISUARUS' neighbor gives a wonderful performance as Mary St. Clair Eaton in FROM THE TERRACE. This is a lovely Oscar winning performance. She wears her Travilla clothes as if they belong to her....not like the Edith Head rags in A NEW KIND OF LOVE that made her look like a little girl playing dress up in her mother's clothes.

I finished THE KING AND I after I got back to my evening viewing. "The Small House of Uncle Thomas" was spectacular looking and "Shall We Dance" incomparable.

I had less than an hour before prime time TV started, so I watched the special features on THE KING AND I second DVD in the set. They're OK. Not slickly put together or anything, but they get the job done.

UGLY BETTY had a marvelous episode tonight filled with laughter and family and sexy goings-on. Even Justin had a great line late in the show.

GREY'S ANATOMY had its usual canny mixture of fun, poignance, and love-in-the-air. Some dire plot point came tumbling at us at the end of the episode, just when we were feeling good about the fate of one of our couples.

I finished the eveing watching Wednesday night's CSI: NY. A strange case of a paintball player's murder combined with black cocaine, moon rocks, and a bear trap.

Also a very sad confrontation with Mac and a young man and the beginnings of some inner-office friction between Mac and Flack.

The best episode of the season thus far.
