I'm pondering dinner now.

I should have taken the chicken soup out of the freezer.

So, a couple of weeks ago I was musing with my friend Sharon about finding a food clue in this month's book group selection.  She said, "It's too bad Girl Scout cookies aren't available yet - you could just bring Samoas,"  because the Stevensons eventually settle there.  So I Googled "homemade Samoas" and came up with a recipe.  Here is what's left:

Ginny, you made those??  They look beautiful and absolutely delicious! :D

After reading the reviews, even the bad ones, for Honeymoon in Vegas, I really want to hear the score. Sounds like fun. Words not generally associated with Jason Robert Brown's work.

I bought it from Amazon just yesterday and it included the AutoRip feature.  I've listened to it already and really enjoyed it.

DR Ginny, how was the book?  You add books on Goodreads but I never see a rating or comment, or even if you actually read them  ? ? ?

Thanks, DRs George and Jane, for your nice comments about my cookies.  Yes, George, I did make them.  They weren't really difficult, just a little time-consuming.  Jane, they're delicious, but very, very rich.

DR Jane, I don't add a book to Goodreads until I've read it.  I skimmed a lot if this one.  Maybe I'm not in a good frame of mind right now, but I wasn't the only group member who found it really tedious in spots.

Well today turned out to be a disaster for me.

I ended up in the emergency room of the hospital.

I was having the calcium stimulation test when in the middle of it I had a bad reaction to it. I couldn't breathe and my heart started to race. All the nurses came into my room and they brought in a response team to keep me going. They put me on 100% oxygen and hooked me up to an IV. Grateful that the test was being administered that hospital so I didn't have far to go.

I am home now and tired from what they gave me. I am able to breathe on my own now.

Thanks, I shall pass on it.  When you add the book do you give it any stars or mark it "read"?

I won't make the delicious but too rich cookies then, one to taste would have been nice ;)

Oh Mike, how very scary!!!!  I'm glad you are home.  I guess this means you can't take any drugs with calcium.   I hope the test wasn't totally wasted.

Then I forgot completely that Jenna and her mom were in the neighborhood for an audition and that they'd said we'd all go eat, so like an idiot I went and had a sandwich and fries.  I'll go sit with them, though and I might have a little salad or something for some greens.

Well, here's the end of the LaCie saga:  I was able with the app iSkysoft Data Recovery ro locate withn the Mac the corrupted LaCie disc with my backups from 2012 to 2014.  I cannot save ths but it's on my desktop for now, and i am going download by download, extracting the Desktop for each download, taking the files I need and then backing them up to my latest 3TB LaCie.  It's taking forever, but it's better than losing everything completely. I'm up to August 2013, and I had to skip three dates in 2012 fr now.  Theu're karge, so I will download them last.

So, I'm proud of myself for accomplishing so much as a complete Computer Moron.

That is great news, DR elmore3003. I know it is tedious, but I am so happy that you did not lose anything.

And now, I'm off to the theater to usher for the Good Lovelies.  I'm sure that it'll be a great concert...I just hope that I don't have a coughing fit at ANY point during the evening. :-\

Until later!
