I have been running around all afternoon because the jerk who handles the IRA  accounts at my Citibank branch wasn't in, and absolutely no one there - all were helpful - knows nothing, zilch, nada, rien about the accounts or what to do. Finally a very kind banker, after several others crashed and burned, found a phone number, then got a fax number and faxed my forms.  I got home to learn the form was out of date - which this missing link could have told me - and a young lady in that dept. emailed me the new forms to print out, fill out, and fax again.  I had to go to Staples and it cost me $10.00.

God damn!

I am home from a trip to the walk in clinic and have taken my first dose of prednisone.  After 8 days the poison ivy rash I picked up in Chicago continues to get worst.

We had planned on returning my new computer, however, there was an accident on the bridge to Portland so we opted not too.  That is fine with me as I have too much to do today.

I stayed at the conference until the final session was underway and left after taking a photo of the speaker. I wanted to get around Dayton on the speedway I-675 before the heavy rush hour traffic.

Back from a chopped salad and a bagel and buying some printer ink - as it turns out, I'd looked the other day, didn't see any, and just bought a whole thing of black and color.  I went to put it in the closet, saw a Staples bag, opened it and found - printer ink.  Well, guess I've got a year supply now.

I have spent every minute of this day so far on the Welcome to My World CD - getting it on CD Baby (who will then put it on iTunes and all those kinds of places) - that takes forever.  I used to just send them the CD, but now you upload everything and the tracks especially are very slow going.  Then I put it up on Amazon.

Breaking News:

My daughter reached her breaking point about doing the work of the Office Slacker and she let the Boss have it. She said the following scene of Boss vs. Slacker was AWESOME.

That sounds ominous. :-\

I loathe amazon sometimes.  I finally got the CD listed but didn't add a photo of the cover because all of that is very confusing!  So, for whatever reason it added a Hangover Square cover - I don't sell any limited editions on Amazon, so I don't really understand that, since I have never uploaded that cover.  So, I tried to change it to no avail.  I finally cancelled the listing and have been trying for thirty minutes to list it again, which it won't do - error messages all over the place.  I've e-mailed them.

video promotion for the San Francisco Opera's production of SWEENEY TODD. The Tobias looks a bit like Smike from the Royal shakespeare NICHOLAS NICKLEBY, and Stephanie Blythe is not bad as Lovett. I can't say I'm crazy about the Anthony; I could have cast it better.  As far as I'm concerned the original Broadway cast has never been bettered, but I susect this looks wonderful in the big SF opera house..

To these ears, that wonderful orchestral passage doesn't have nearly the guts it could.

This entire day has been listing this CD - unbelievable.  And Amazon still doesn't work.  It's already live on CD Baby.

I've spent far more time than is reasonable coordinating various things relating to my upcoming eye surgery. Twice I've received snarky phone calls (automated variety) telling me  my eye drop prescriptions are ready to be picked up. Twice I've gone to the drugstore to learn that they aren't ready at all. Worse, we're not even on the same page. They were trying to contact my doctor to authorize a prescription I don't even need. I phoned UCLA just yesterday and they resent the Rx with the correct information. UCLA insists they sent it, Rite-Aid says they don't have it. Sheesh! It doesn't help that I'm dealing with a different pharmacist each time.

Is this what comes of having surgery during a Mercury retrograde?

Our heat wave persists. Today someone standing in line next to me commented on the heat. He said he's from Arizona and this heat is getting to him. It's been humid as well as warm and people here just aren't used to it. Not that one ever really gets used to it. I never did.

I came home looking pale and sick, so I'm cooling down and taking it easy.

So pleased that the VixVacation is such a success. It sounds like a lot has been packed into the time available.
