Speaking of computer issues, our very own BK has been rather adept at system admin lately. Out of necessity, methinks.

I understand that Apple Care will take calls now, free of charge. It used to be that if your Apple Care had run out they would still help, but bill you. The guy at the Apple store told me there's no charge now. Much better!!

Today the hose for our kitchen faucet arrived.  The company forgot to mention that the old one would not simply slide out of the hole.  After an hour Keith finally got the old one apart and removed it.  Then installing the new hose was fairly simple.  Washing the dishes is much easier now.

The second set of new doors for our buffet, to replace the damaged door, finally arrived.  Once again they are the wrong color.  At least this time they sent new hinges with it.  We will have those, or just one, replaced and live with the door as it is.  You really don't notice it is broken until you open it.

I'm still waiting for them to call to pick up the desk chair.  Thank goodness I am very pleased with my desk.

Yelling won't do any good here.  Once all is settled I will name this horrible furniture store.

If the problem were with my desk I would not be so patient.  I sure am tired of the desk chair sitting in my closet.

My neighbor across the street just came over with a pencil and paper and wanted to ask me a question. How do you cook a turkey?

I was quite confused, because I know he has a wife, whom I would have expected would cook the turkey.

He said his wife had left several months ago. I guess I am not a nosy neighbor.

I gave him a crash course in turkey roasting. He asked if he could come tomorrow if he had any more questions. Luckily he has a jar of gravy and a box of Stove-Top.

Because trying to give gravy instructions and stuffing instructions would be too much, last minute.

Oh, my!  Well, he could also look it up online.  There are many reputable cooking websites available.

I am very glad I decided to stay home for Thanksgiving.  We are under a winter weather advisory tomorrow that will start with drizzle then freezing drizzle, maybe some freezing rain and then about 3-4 inches of snow.  I will be here alone, but that's fine.  I have had my turkey thawing in the fridge for a couple days.  It's still partially frozen, but I can finish that off in the sink if need be.   I'll stuff the bird then cook it in a Reynolds cooking bag.   I'm going to make cranberry sauce, twice baked potatoes and some broccoli.   I'll make sweet potatoes on Friday or Saturday to eat with left overs.

I have pie crusts but haven't decided what kind of pie I'm planning on.  I could do apple or cherry.

I told him to cook that stuff and chop it up fine and put it in the gravy.
