Well, you've read the notes, the notes gave thanks, and now it is time for you to post until the thankful cows come home.

Sleep. Yep. Another thing I am thankful for, that sometimes seems to be in short supply.

Ditto!  HHW is definitely an oasis of the Internet!

This year nbc is running "an encore showing" of the Macy's parade after the dog show.   I like that idea!

Last night I was expressing my regrets that I never brought the Vixter to the parade and she told me she had no desire to be there that she prefers watching it in her pajamas , wrapped in a cozy blanket and eating fresh from the oven blueberry muffins (which has been our tradition)

What I will be serving

Turkey ( I am toying with using a recipe using a honey glaze and stuffing the turkey with apples onions and lemons ).  I am not sure if I will be run out if town if I make the stuffing outside of the turkey

Side dishes :

stuffing with apples
Cauliflower casserole
Peas with pearl onions and mushrooms
Mushrooms in butter/sherry sauce
Carrots
Turnips
Steamed new potatoes
Cranberry sauce
Crescent rolls

I didn't get Sweet potatoes or yams and am now rethinking that descision.  Maybe a flying visit to the supermarket is in order

Apple pie
Pumpkin pie

Appetizer courtesy of Mom

Crab dip

I went to the Macy's Parade as it was on my bucket list. Didn't see it from the beginning but what was the first thing I heard playing?

Our own Bruce Kimmel and Michelle Nicastro sing Be A Santa. The act is a group of women dancing with shopping carts.

What I am thankful is that after many years of suffering they have finally figured out that I am suffering from Pancreatitis, Barrett's esophagus and Celiac Disease.

It may be strange thing to be thankful for, but I've been suffering for the last five years and none of the other doctors I went to could find it. If it wasn't for my knee be replaced none of this would have been found.

I'm recording both ABC and CBS Thanksgiving Parade programs since they have performances from different Broadway shows.

Our DR Matthew is in Manhattan, and we have tentative plans to meet tomorrow morning before he catches a matinee.

As for today, I have no plans.  I do believe I will do laundry this morning, and that's my day.

After my ordeal with the computer yesterday, I am very happy that it's now running so happily.  I have the Macy's parade on the telly for background - they're forcing me to hear something from Finding Neverland at the moment. Jesus! What a bad "family" show.

Thankful?
I'm happy that this property mess hasn't destroyed my relationship with my brother Randy and JoAnn.
I am grateful that Brick Run Therapy and its staff has me in as good shape as I am, and I think it's time to return before I completely fall apart.
I am thankful for the friends in Manhattan that kept me alive with tickets to shows, surprise gifts, an occasional meal or a job.
I am very grateful to several friends on HHW who got me through a dreadful 2014-2015 with help evacuating an office, surprise checks and gifts in the mail, and encouragement and good wishes online.

Thank you.
