I am so thankful to BK for allowing us to gather in his living room; and I am, also, thankful that I have gotten to know such a wonderful and loving array of individuals!!

My lower back is really bothering me today.  I wish I could take a pain pill, but I can't until I return from dinner.  It may be a shorter day than usual.

From DR TCB:
Quote
I considered backing out of T-Day at Sharry's, so I could work all day without interruption.  But I must go and meet my new nephew, Frasier.

I hope I am not too late responding.  I'm envious.  Give Frasier a big kiss from me.

From DR Singdaw:
Quote
We have a guest "suite" with a separate bathroom, so you are welcome any time.

We used to have a beautiful guest suite with a beautiful bathroom.  I miss them.  We still have a nice guest "suite", I just don't like it as much.  Instead of being at the far end of our house the guest room is practically across from our bedroom.

I would be hesitant to try cranberry curd tart.  I agree, it is colorful ;D

Last night I was expressing my regrets that I never brought the Vixter to the parade and she told me she had no desire to be there that she prefers watching it in her pajamas , wrapped in a cozy blanket and eating fresh from the oven blueberry muffins (which has been our tradition)

Smart girl.

I went to the Macy's Parade as it was on my bucket list. Didn't see it from the beginning but what was the first thing I heard playing?

Our own Bruce Kimmel and Michelle Nicastro sing Be A Santa. The act is a group of women dancing with shopping carts.

I love your idea, DR ChasSmith. I mean, our HHW family is just as valid a family as anyone's!        :)

Definitely!! :-*

I'm recording both ABC and CBS Thanksgiving Parade programs since they have performances from different Broadway shows.

Ditto!  I'm going to my parents' house soon, so I won't get to watch either broadcast until I get home tonight.  Then, I'll also have to get ready to leave tomorrow to visit my cousin in Oregon.  AND I'll still need to do at least one more load of laundry! :P

It's going to be a busy evening for me.

;)

I had a very nice  Thanksgiving dinner.  Turkey, stuffing, twice baked potatoes, cranberry sauce.   I didn't make any other sides, I'll make them with my left overs.  I didn't bake a pie either, I'm thinking for today I may just put some of the cranberry sauce over some vanilla ice cream.

I was just about to get into the shower this morning when I heard my phone vibrate (don't know why it doesn't ring; I'm still learning this phone). It was an 800 number. Sigh. It was Discover card, asking whether certain transactions were mine. Yes on Amazon, no on iTunes. I suppose we all go through this from time to time. I had to cancel the card. It'll be about a week before I have a new one. That's not a problem, but that particular card number is embedded about a dozen places. THAT'S the problem. I pulled out my bill and am making a list of the accounts which need to be changed. I think only one needs attention right away. Sigh.

Good morning / afternoon!
You know, it's kind of silly that the several of us HHWers in this area don't think about getting together for Thanksgiving.  Shall we try it next year?  And I don't mean at some restaurant.  No sirree, I mean a real gathering and sit-down dinner at somebody's house.  And I hereby volunteer vixmom's!!!  :D   Okay, actually, seriously, I volunteer my own.  This can be done.  We can do it.  Oh yes we can.
In my days of a single person  my friends and I would have a friends giving the Friday or Saturday after thanks giving.  If you would consider such a thing I would happily ferry everyone in my 7 seater van !

Yay!!!

Yes, I was thinking that the Friday or Saturday is the best way to go on that.  Works for me!

My friends from the Bay Area have now come and gone. It was nice to see them, but I wish we had more time to visit. They have other stops to make. Many of my other friends are either ill or taking care of those who are, so we're all staying home. I don't mind that at all. Best to get well.
