Hey, I have the Blu-ray of EX MACHINA!  I guess it's been waiting for a rainy day.  Must check the weather forecast.

It rained!!!  And when it rains, it pours.  Right?  But that's another subject for another day.  This evening, following BK's reportage, I was totally ready for watching this, and I am here to tell you it's a beaut.  This is the kind of thing that renews one's faith in the business of film making -- because, like BK said, it is original, and so unyielding to everything "expected" in today's films.  Bravo to all!

It all sounds good.  Pot pie, soup, stew, you name it.  I don't get tired of the leftovers that fast.  I'm good for about a week on that stuff.

I made myself a beautiful plate of leftovers tonight in the form of a hot open-faced turkey sandwich.  Much gravy was involved, along with some extra sage sausage that was left over from the stuffing recipe.  And I outdid myself on mashed potatoes -- I think the butter and heavy cream content just about equaled the spud content.  And the orange-assisted cranberry sauce is SO the perfect side to offset that richness.  I'm almost as stuffed now as I was after the main dinner.

Ok you have convinced me we are definitely having friends giving at Your house.  Please make the mashed taters and orange cranberry relish

It's a year from today!!!

I have never had success before in making turkey soup the I saw someone on FB mention that they let it cook a long while a reduce to concentrate the flavor and it really worked

Watched that last night.  Definitely worth seeing, and learning some of the details.  But I have to say that watching it on the channel itself was something to try one's patience.  Or to make one a patient.  The constant interruptions, and constant weather data plastered across the screen...   ay yi yi...

Thanks TCB, but I'm ok.  I'm very excited that I was able to make a pot pie.  It's regular pie sized not little pot pie sized and it tastes really good.  Carrots, potatoes, corn, peas and turkey.   I'll heat it up tomorrow and enjoy it

I recorded it and was able to forward through the ton of commercials.  I agree about the weather, but if I was looking for the weather I'd be irritated that they weren't showing it.  So......

Back from the fundraiser. I won't know the total until tomorrow, but I think it was a success.

That's great, Tom!  Congrats!

Vixmom, how long will you have your temporary bridge?

I have been told it will be 6 months before they will consider putting in the implants and permanent bridge

That seems like a long time to wait!

Unfortunately there is no guarantee they can put it the implants even then. It will depend on whether my bone has sufficiently grown back

Of course not.  Be sure to provide your flight information and we'll meet you at the airport.

Actually, if vixmom's got a little extra time on her hands (thanks to the generous and lenient vacation days policy at her new job), maybe she would be good enough to drive around the country and pick everyone up.
