Alicia Vikander wins a best supporting actress award from the L.A. Film Critics:

A few other surprises. I didn't know Charlotte Rampling had a movie out. Love her.

Maybe your computer had too much sugar.

I have.  I just had the most incredible dessert, bread pudding made from croissants, with caramel.   Truly, it is the best bread pudding I have ever had.  I kept saying O<G.

I wish someone would release their "The Night the Animals Talked" Christmas special. I remember enjoying that as a child.

My plan was to go into Portland tonight, pick up Chanukah gifts, and then meet our friends for an early birthday dinner.

Unfortunately they have been at the Vet's with their dog.  Last we talked they were waiting for the results of an ultra sound.

Instead of going to the restaurant in Portland we went to dinner at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver.  This was the first time we have gone for dinner.  We normally for for brunch where I have ordered the delicious french toast made from the bread pudding.  As delicious as that french toast is, the bread pudding is even better.

I'm glad it worked out since I just celebrated my birthday a day early which I did not need to do.

I am not familiar with that place.  Of course, when I used to visit Vancouver, the Dairy Queen was considered fine dining.

Best bread pudding in the world?  New Orleans.  Of course.

But the best New Orleans bread pudding outside of New Orleans?

The Sunday brunch at the Marriott, downtown Boston, 1993.  I kid you not.  Go figure.

It's on to The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood.

I have never heard of that one.

A very young Liza Minnelli, Cyril Richard, Vic Damone and the Animals as the Wolf Pack. Some of it is very dated, but some is also very enjoyable.

I assume that is Cyril Ritchard
