I like to take some very tiny new potatoes and put them in the pan with a roast or meatloaf and let them soak up all that lovely flavor while the meat cooks

Vixdad very kindly went up to the Greek place and brought me some pastichio

Because it was off-season in Crete, we didn't get dishes that required a lot of work. We had moussaka only once. But what we had was cherce.

Vibes for all of us

It's the Christmas season in all of the stores, so why not play Tiny Tim: God bless us, every one!

My boss, who hired me and promoted me, announced today that he's being transferred to another department. I'm sure that it will be a good opportunity for growth for him, and he'll likely be replaced by someone within our department, all of whom I work well with and respect. But I just feel really sad. He's been the best boss I've had in my working career. I've learned a lot from him. I also enjoy his company. And his wife is fun.

Maybe it's that thing about not wanting what works to change. Lutherans just don't handle change very well.

Back from House of Pies and a quick meeting.  I just wanted a dinner salad - it arrived and the lettuce was wilted, no red onion, croutons smelled stale - sent it back and had some butterscotch pie, which was okay.

The best news is that the posts for my implants are firmly in place,  the surgeon  opened my  gums to reveal them (So now  I look like that metal teeth Villan from that James Bond movie). But I can arrange to have teeth put on now

You will be happy, or should I say relieved, when they are done.

I was able to have Moussaka once when we found a vegetarian version on the menu.

Anyone would not want this kind of change.  Vibes you like your new boss just as much.

Last night, her youngest son surprised her with an unscheduled visit home from college.

The family is acting like it was a big surprise.  It wasn't much of a surprise to me.
