I'm off (from work, that is) every other Monday, so it's nice not to have to go to work on my birthday.  I did have a doctor's appointment, however.

DR George I do like the idea of reusable cups priced  so that people will reuse them.

The last time I worked concessions, several of the cups were left in the theater (we're supposed to make note of where they were found and try to contact the people at those seats...if they paid with a credit card and are in the system), and a few patrons specifically gave their cups to ushers saying that they didn't want to keep them...and that the ushers could!  One of the ushers who got one of the cups didn't want it, so I said that I'd take it, and I did! :D

George, it depresses me that a production of a fine, funny Moliere would only draw two people to a performance. I hope the rest of your run is better attended.

Thanks John, but actually, the Molière (The Physician in Spite of Himself) hasn't opened, yet.  That's still in rehearsal.  The latest in our series of readings, "WORDS, WORDS, WORDS: Hans Christian Andersen" is what drew only two people on the second of two nights.  Since that cost literally nothing, the total of eight audience members between the two nights is not a total loss.  And we actually had fun with the two people, so it was not a sad night, at all. :)

Glad to be back around after a crazy weekend of Oklahoma callbacks, a family wedding, a viewing of a kids production of Seussical-The Musical which was amazing for a kids production.

I also saw The King and I tour in SF on Friday and it was phenomenal.  Just as good as the Lincoln Center staging.  Trying to see if I can get back one more time.  The orchestra wasn't as big and it did include a lovely keyboard, but it all sounded authentic and real - you wouldn't even know there was a keyboard.

That's great news, Jane. There are vegan restaurants in SA, too. Senor Veggie is one.

Thanks.  I have this one saved from the list you gave me.  I added the address to the name and noted it is a 15 minute walk from the Westin.

Thank you, DR Laura.  My niece looks great - she's lost about 30 pounds since I saw her last.

I would not have thought to give a cup to the usher.  I probably would have left it to the side of the trash can or on a table.

When I order hot chocolate at a coffee shop, unless I have to take it with me, I order it in a regular cup.  I prefer not to drink out of those lids.
