Enjoying a slow start to the day, but at some point soon I must be getting off my bloomin’ arse and making my last Christmas Eve run to the grocery store...whereupon I’ll be in for the next two days.

Today's photos are still blurry.  Maybe I need a new phone?

Well, maybe.  I was getting soft focus and blurred ones much more with my previous phone than with this new iPhone.  But still, it’s really tricky.

Just received the new one of Thatch.  He’s the cutest little thing!

Can you post it?  I see a photo tutorial in your future.

I’ll try.  Let me move to the computer first.  I don’t know how to do it from the iPad.

Here it is.  This one isn't blurred, it's just out of focus.  The phone either has trouble focusing at these close distances, or you need to try telling it where to focus; i.e., getting the picture framed and tapping the point to focus on (or whatever the process is on your phone), then take the picture.  But like I said, it's tricky.  I've been through much trial and error on this.

Edit:  I never know if, or how well, this is going to work on the site, but click to enlarge.  This one opens a separate window for me, and it's quite a bit larger.  And yet the file is no larger than anything else we post here.  Go figure.

Looking back at DR Ginny's from yesterday, those ARE a bit blurred, but still definitely out of focus.

So, the way I posted it is probably way too complicated, but it's the one way I know that will get the job done:

In the text message, tap on the picture to "open" it.  Then tap the little "share" thingie and email it to myself.  Go to computer, open the email, and save the image.  Post it as an attachment the usual way.

I think that was it.  This would surely be a simpler process using the third party hosting method, like what we were doing with Photobucket.  I think.  I'm not the whiz on these things that I seem to be.

Thank you!  I tried to get one of them in the window bird watching, but by the time I get organized, the moment has passed.

Every year when BK talks about the Do, and when I see the daily subject title containing the word Do, I always think:

What did the Duke do?

(When the Doge did his duty and the Duke didn't, that's when the Duchess did the dirt to the Duke with the Doge...)

If we all got on a plane right now, we could comfortably be there in time for the Do.

Wouldn't that be a lovely surprise?

It would, of course, put BK over his planned total attendance, causing all HELL to break loose...

That’s pretty much the method I used yesterday.

Would it help if I brought cookies?

I've had phishing calls all morning telling me my Apple security has been breached. Apple Care tells it's a fraud, so after the fourth call, I took down the number and gave it to them. If you hear from 833-525-4240, block it.

DR Laura, we've had a bit of a Christmas Miracle on 82nd Street.  I have given Thatch his oral medicine and put salve in his eyes, and instead of running from me afterwards, he's been rubbing against my leg, and then he let me pick him up and hold him!

WONDERFUL 💗

He has been slowly progressing to this day.  I am positive once he is off the meds all will be fine.

DR elmore you should be proud of what you accomplished with Thatch.  You have been great with both kittens.

Keith just I formed me there is a good chance I will not be able to post once we leave the hotel and board the Pride of Africa train.  If possible he will be able to use his phone to get photos onto FB.  As always feel free to share them here.

Tonight we found a wonderful restaurant and had our best over all meal of the trip in that we liked everything.  We only wish we had found it our first night instead of eating at the hotel.  We were able to get tofu 😊😊😊

Thanks, Nursie!  As soon as they are both out of the woods, I'm having a breakdown!

Thatch's eyes seem better today. No crusty gunk.  What a relief!

Hee hee hee!  I put catnip all over Thatch's cat tree while he was chasing ping pong balls, and he is stoned out of his mind!  He's so cute.
