I saw my therapist, Erik, today for an overdue session. He thinks I've been backsliding. I think that may have something to do with all the drilling the dentist has been doing.

Plus, it might snow before the skies clear up. Ugh.

I used to have a friend who would go to the gym and work out whenever he felt a cold coming on. That doesn't work for me; I get worse. When I'm under the weather I need rest.

Never get enough chances to rest. I guess I'll be doing that in two weeks.

White Dog was a very good Sam Fuller movie. And the Criterion extras were also interesting.

Well, today's going to be a day.  On Sunday, I found out that Bill, a former co-worker, had died on December 12 and the memorial is going to be today.  My friend Margo and I are going.  She actualy got a call from his sister.  I sent an e-mail to all the people in our building (I will admit that not a lot of people who work there now worked there when he did...it's been at least 15 years since he left), but I didn't think to send out a district-wide e-mail.  He was the former HR Manager, so some people throughout the library might still remember him.  Oh, well.  Most people out in the branches probably wouldn't be able to easily get a vacation day the the day before, anyway.

I'm home.  The service was really nice.  We got there about 45 minutes late because there was an accident on I-5, but we were able to meet his sisters and his partner, Vo.  I think Vo is from Vietnam, but I don't remember.*  There was food after the service and people told stories.  It was really nice.  It's obvious that everyone there really loved Bill.

*Update...Margo has confirmed that Vo is from Vietnam.

I am sorry to hear about the loss if your former coworker, Bill.  I think it is lovely that you are taking the time off to e at hid empirical, I am sure Bills family will be touched y the gesture

Thanks, Vixmom.  He had three sisters and a brother and several nieces and their in-laws.  There was also one other sister who had already died.  They really appreciated everyone being there.

After the service, we first went to the south Seattle Silver Platters.  I bought 10, count 'em TEN, CDs!  They are all used, but look like they're in very good condition.  I paid less than $60 for all of them!

After my purchases, we went to the South Center Mall in Renton so that Margo could return a couple of items that she bought online.  Then we drove home.  After I dropped her off, I went to Taco Bell for dinner, then I stopped at work to get a few packages that had been delivered.  Then I came home, and now I'm watching TV and will ketchup on today's posts.

Oh!  I almost forgot!  For the lunch after the service, they had sandwich makings and many desserts.  I made a sandwich with sliced meats and cheese.  They also had a macaroni salad with chunks of ham and cheese...so today I actually had ham chunks and cheese slices (as well as cheese chunks and ham slices) for lunch!
