In the anti-miracle department, I had to sit through two crushingly awful hours of a musical revue featuring performers over sixty, like sixty is old. The oldest performer in the show was 90. It's a fun and even noble idea, save for the fact that this excruciatingly bad show had no structure, no point, no forward momentum, horrible staging, and performers who were probably not so hot to begin with, well... And jingoism at its most lethal. And this was a full Equity production that cost a LOT of dough and had a four-week run. I just bristle when I see opportunities wasted like this.

I'd had bacon and eggs at Jerry's Deli in the morning, and then after this thing I stopped at Gelson's and got a few snacks to nibble on as bacon and eggs wasn't enough.

I will say one thing - unless some of the performers are lying about their age, which would be stupid given the nature of the show, several who are a few years younger than I and a few who are my exact age look old enough to be my father. So, either I'm doing something right or they're doing something wrong.

I had so much fun watching The Apartment last night, I think I'll do another Wilder film tonight - at least it will make me laugh.

I hope DR CHAS SMITH got to the theatre on time and that the show is going well....

It is 3 three degrees here according to my thermostat and 1 degree here according to my computer....

Elmore treated me to the matinee of Desperate Measures , a musical rebelling if Shakespeare's Measure for Measure set in the old West (Arizona pre statehood to be specific)... It was wonderful...very funny, great acting, great singing, hummable music with clever lyrics...and the p,at was done I rhyming couplets which was so clever.y done and non intrusive that I didn't even realize it until about halfway into the first act

I used the auto start and then went out and put my purse, phone and keys in the car and then shut the door to clear offallthe Windows. The engine cuts off after about 15 minutes if you don't insert the keys (to avoid you leabpving your car running all day by mistake) and when it shut off it locked the doors

I ran back into the house in a panic and called the AAA ..after several voice prompts and. InPutting information I was disconnected...then I called back and after all voice prompts and input I was put on eternal hold

Vixdad meanwhile called our local mechanic on his cellphone to see if he could help when suddenly Vixdad remembered that the spare remote for the auto start was hanging on the key hook in the stairwell

After the show there was a talk back which would have been more enjoyable had it not been for one audience member, a woman with a really loud and obnoxious voice who was obviously trying to stir up controversy where there was none to be had and trying to pick a fight.

After the show we went for dinner to a resturant right down the back, Hillstone, I believe it was called . We timed it just right,were sat in a comfy both in a near empty restaurant, by time our meals were being served the place was packed with people waiting to be seated
