Well I went to Goodwill this morning, I found a mirror that is perfect for the set (even though the set designer doesn't mirrors on the set), a pair of gloves for Corie's mother - brown with mink cuffs, an ugly clock as one of the wedding gifts, and a tie for Paul that just happens to have his monogram on it - must be kismet....a cushion for the sofa.  Then to WalMart to get two area rugs....and a wedding gift ugly blanket....

Now except for foodstuff....I think we have every thing....well except a Vermouth bottle....

Thanks, Jrand!

Several this to do this morning - but I shall return.

TOD:

First that comes to mind:

THE ZOO STORY

My dad used to do community theater when he was in the army and stationed in Germany.  He actually performed in this show!  He was the other guy...the one who sat on the bench and didn't say too much. ;)

What's also cool is that he was involved (didn't act) in a production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown when we were in Germany, and about 16 years ago, I played Charlie Brown in a production (of the revised version) here in Olympia!

I do believe we hit 50% at nine this morning - end of our first day.  Currently at 53% - incredible, really.  Must keep going up, though, but boy is this heartening.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  Rebecca and I attended the last of the summer book talks at Lane Public Library in Hamilton, then went to a favorite deli for lunch.  I'm home now, trying to gear myself up to go grocery shopping.  Not feelin' it...

So brilliant in The Apple Tree and On A Clear Day You Can See Forever.  I adore her, along with the rest of the all-stars, in Nashville.  And Freaky Friday!

Paul Manafort guilty of five tax frauds, failing to disclose foreign bank account, and more.

Michael Cohen took a plea deal, so he's going to be singing more than Pavarotti.  I betcha there's a major panic going on in the White House.

George, you were talking last evening about the missing song from SWEENEY TODD.  Are you referring to The Judge's (whipping) version of "Johanna?"

When I saw the original production of the show on Broadway, that number had already been cut.  I have no idea when.

I believe it was cut during previews.

I shall have to watch Nashville - I mean REALLY watch it - soon. It’s been years, so far back in antiquity that I had yet to develop any appreciation whatsoever for Robert Altman.

Is anyone planning on seeing the 60th anniversary edition of SOUTH PACIFIC next week?  I believe it is being shown on the 26th and the 29th.

Barbara Harris could enchant even without words. She had one wordless scene in Grosse Point Blank and rocked it.

She was one of a kind. Nashville might have been her best film work but I also loved her in North avenue Irregulars and Hitchcock’s Family Plot.

Today has been a horrible day at work, exhausting and long. More networking than working—and that’s not my style.

I love Family Plot!  I had completely forgotten about it.  I think I will watch that tonight.

No.  I was talking about missing songs from Bette Midler's Divine Madness concert film (theatrical release vs. home video/DVD).  I also (eventually) want to make a Blu-ray of the TCM broadcast of Sweeney Todd because that was also in hi-def and has never been released on Blu-ray. :D

Yes.  I believe the mood in the White House is duck-for-cover rage.
