I'm starting the first C.B. Strike, based on The Cuckoo's Calling. The lead, Tom Burke, isn't quite what I imagined, but he's good. The script is following the book very closely.

Lots of upheaval at work today. Doesn't affect me directly, but it will affect many of the people I work with.

Then Dad had some problems today. He apparently has an infection in his foot, which isn't great for a diabetic. I don't know how or when it will be treated. They're apparently waiting on a call.

He does have his surgery for his esophageal problem scheduled for the end of the month.

While I would not miss Barbra's performance in London I'm not crazy about the location.  Hyde Park.  No seats!  Standing the entire time.  One of the ticket categories allows you to go to another area where there are seats, but you can't see the performer from there.    "Doors" open at 1:30 and there will be other acts before Barbra starts at the usual 8 pm.  It will be a long day, but I'm looking forward to seeing friends from all over the world there.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

I wish Baskin Robbins would bring back their English Toffee ice cream.

You could take a really good chocolate ice cream and top it with Heath Bits O' Brickle, which you can find in the chocolate chips area.

It is not the same as the flavor of the ice cream, before the chips were added,  was english toffee.  Plus English toffee is a diffefent flavor than Heath Bar.

I have added candy to my coffee ice cream and enjoyed it.  Chocolate I usually leave alone.

Oh, now I understand the surgery.  Has he tried taking Protonix?

A couple of days ago, the projections started randomly just blinking out then right back on.  It was more annoying than problematic, but tonight during the first act, it got to be problematic.

So, the only thing we could figure out was to turn off the projector and just have sounds, but when we started the second act, my computer screen that was showing the program went complete black, except that the mouse still showed! :o

I just had to trust that the sound cues would still continue and I wouldn't lose my place, and for the most part that was what happened.

It was quite wonky and hopefully tomorrow, when Marko comes in early, he can figure things out...without an audience waiting for the second act to start. :-\

Fortunately, tonight's small audience was quite understanding and really did still enjoy the show.

I will say that, even though the projections really do enhance the production, they aren't imperative to the show...they were just what the director wanted for her vision of the show.
