Tomorrow is Pi Day. I need to run out and get a cherry pie for work.

I'm due to get maybe 60% of what I got back last year.

You're not alone in that. :-\

I was thinking about doing that, too!

The fifth episode of Vanity Fair down and the sixth to go!  This 1998 miniseries is really fun, although the music is positively dreadful.  The BBC has just released a new miniseries I am curious to see, but I think it will be hard to beat this one.

I haven't had a blueberry pie in a while.  That sounds good. :)

Watching a noir now called The File on Thelma Jordon. It has a great score from Victor Young.

But I don't know what I'll get.  We'll see.  And on that note (B-natural), I'm outta here!

Be back later!

On the way back to the hotel we stopped and played with a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.  Since I carry dog treats with me Keith gave her some 😊

Sounds nice.

Oh it was.

Making a helper change again - this guy has been a disaster every step of the way but worst of all he keeps telling me he sends me e-mails and I keep telling him I don't get them and he does not LEARN from this.  He is now telling me he gave me two weeks notice two weeks ago!  No.  Never got such a thing, but the stupidity is - would I not respond???  And since I've brought this up a million times, these phantom e-mails, if I didn't respond would not a reasonable person MENTION it???

Luckily, I was ready to fire him two months ago and I found someone to do that, but we had a talk and I thought came to an understanding, but apparently not.  I am FURIOUS.  But I just talked to the new helper, who, ironically, is my original helper from 2006.  But he think he's through as of Sunday and I think he is NOT through and that he will do the next release that's coming in that day and walk her through it and then she leaves town for a week and when she's back he has to train her.  Otherwise, I can't ship anything for a week and that cannot happen.  Of course, you can't get the guy to actually respond to any e-mails or texts or phone messages - but I told him he had to call tonight.

He told me he forwarded me the resignation e-mail at the beginning of the week - he did forward two e-mails neither of which had anything about such a thing and I forwarded those e-mails back to him.  He now says he forwarded a third e-mail - I keep telling him, and you'd think this would be VERY obvious, that had I received such a thing how would I not have responded instantly.  That seems like simple logic to me, but what do I know.  Anyway, he'll call tomorrow and we'll hash out a timeline.  I think he'll give me two more weeks since after Monday there really won't be much to do anyway, then when the new helper gets back from her trip they can spend a few hours and that will be that - she'll be with him on Monday and can pretty much see how everything works.
