Well, I'm off.  I got all my time in for this week, so I actually get to leave early! ;D

Be back later!

Best that they release all that pent-up energy.

Sex and nudity aside, The Nightcomers was a better idea than a movie, in large part because the two child actors are dreadful.

Had dinner with a friend tonight who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Since the diagnosis, she has had a stroke. This week, she had a fall and had some condition that left her eyes looking like a raccoon. Despite everything, she and her husband were in good spirits and she had enough energy for a nice long visit.

Her husband hadn't bothered with the dishes, so I left Joy to talk with them while I loaded the dishwasher.

Endless telephonic calls today.  I picked up one package, had a quick Taco Bell fix and just 1000 calories, and have been listening to music and trying to relax even a little bit.  I'm gonna have to be up by eight tomorrow and on the road by nine, as it's a forty-minute drive and I don't want to get there late and I want a parking space.  I've printed out the directions already.

Watched a not-great movie called The Mercy, a true story about a man's attempt to sail around the world. Colin Firth, Rachel Weisz, David Thewlis and lackluster direction.

Now I'm watching a documentary on Canadian musician Randy Bachman from The Guess Who and BTO. I've always loved his music, but the doc could have been better. Thankfully, it's short.

I have discovered one thing about these three humungous Hindemith box sets.  Box one has six CDs, box two five, and box three four - and you can't go through them all at once - you have to take a Hindemith break, to cleanse the palate, as it were, otherwise it's too many flavors coming at you all at once.  So, I'll move on to a few other things shortly then go back and finish box one (I listened to box two first, since that arrived before the others) - I only have about forty minutes left of box one anyway.

But there are only 15 minutes left in the movie.

Moving is so much easier when you have the luxury of time.

I always pack my nonessential stuff first--extra bedding, clothes I don't wear much, etc--and label it "N-E". The stuff I use all the time is labelled "ESS" or just "E" and I know that that needs to be unpacked first. Getting the nonessential packed stuff out of the old house and into the new house really does help.
