Jon Batiste and his band were the musical guests on last night's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  They're the regular band for the show.  It's pretty cool that they were featured on their own.

Today, I'm taking the day off from work.  My niece and I are going to my parents' house to help put up their artificial Christmas tree and some other things.  I don't know what else we'll do, but I'll find out soon enough.

DR TCB, I am so sorry Nicky had a bad day.  You've entered a period that terrifies me for two reasons with my babies: that I will not live long enough to face these dilemmas or that I will.  This is one of the few rocks and hard places issues I wish on no friend or enemy.

Speaking of enemies, the CD of The New Yorkers just received a lousy Amazon review from a William Oser, who has already panned my recordings of Dearest Enemy and, by inference, Eileen.  He claims to have done a great many things, from acting to working with John McGlinn, but I can find nothing to support his claims.  I believe he's a total fraud.

Well, we weren’t spared. There’s a good three inches out there, and every tree branch is covered. I’ve got my work cut out for me once I know it has completely passed. And cleanup is essential because it’s falling into the teens tonight. This is further proof that there’s no rest for the naughty.

Several months ago DOLEMITE was shown on TCM as part of their
2 a.m. Saturday movie specials....it was most entertaining....and I shall probably buy it when it comes out....
