Back from the show, which ended up selling out so now we’re sold out all weekend. One cast member showed up with a cold but did a beautiful job.

Eight down, five to go. Or something like that.

Did the pre-show speech, stayed for act one, and was too irritated at the low energy of the performance to even think about staying.  Yes, everyone will be getting a note, and certain actors will get private specific notes.  I was actually appalled.  About ten minutes before the end of act one, everyone seemed to finally realize what was going on and notched up the energy, so there were actually laughs.  And the pre-show speech had the audience ready to laugh - I got them laughing and they couldn't wait for the show to start.  And then, everything was a beat off, the energy was in the floor, and all the usual laughs were greeted with silence.  A family of three left after act one, and frankly I don't blame them.
