Monday morning greetings!  Sorry to miss last night's show.  I got involved in a rather intense text exchange with my friend Rebecca, whose husband broke his hip last week and is not doing well in his recovery.  She's pretty much on her own in this and I'm as worried about her and I am about him.

Looking forward to catching the K & E show today.

Oy. Vibes all around.

Thanks, DR ChasSmith!  I had a phone call this morning bearing news that my friend Emilie also fell and broke her hip and pelvis last week.

I could be the next one.  My balance and walking talents suck these days.  Vibes to you friends, DR Ginny!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just finished watching the K&E spectacular, and I really enjoyed it.  Kerry O'Malley and Adrienne Stieffel can do no wrong.  Ever.  I had forgotten I had so many friends in it.

I wish Karen Mason had also sung "The Only Game In Town" because I love her recording of it.  The selection of songs was quite good, but IU think I would have preferred "Class" to "The Grass Is Always Greener," because I think it's poorly constructed and half the punch lines are not given room to be heard; the song just keeps going.

Peyton grabbed me with "Wilkommen" and I enjoyed the ride.

On a parenthetical note to the song "Yes," my best college friend was costume assistant to Jane Greenwood who dressed 70 Girls 70, and Mildred Natwick and I were phone buddies at The Drama Book Shop.  We never met although she told me I had to come and have tea with her.  She was very warm and friendly.  The first time I talked to her, I told her my favorite song of hers was "The Elephant Song," and she was surprised I knew it.

I missed most of the show last night because I was doing The Chicken Dance with a certain young gentleman.

DR Elmore, I feel a certain amount of guilt for not adopting from a shelter. Our last three cats we got before they would have ended up at a shelter, though.

All of our current cats we got within the last 2 years: Leonard in October of 2018 and Asha and Magdalena in July and October of 2019.

Joshie and Sasha were foster failures and Rex showed up at our front door. They are all gone now.

This is scary.  Healing vibes for him, and coping vibes for Rebecca.

While we have rescued many dogs & cats we have never gotten one from a shelter.

I don't think you should feel guilty in the least.  You're an amazing animal rescuer.

I'm up, I'm up.  Was up at seven after three hours of sleep and fell back asleep around nine-thirty, so I suppose that's eight hours but I feel quite yuckilicious and must catch up.

TOD - my favorites from last night were all the songs from Cabaret, because that was my first Broadway show (original cast, 1967).  But my very, very, very fave was “A Quiet Thing,” which sums up my life philosophy.  Adrienne brought me to tears - in a good way.

Warm here.....regular appt. with my M.D. tomorrow, just a six month look see.....

I am going to mention the Shakespeare in the Park debacle, but I am thinking he will just shake his head and ask:  "What do YOU think?"

It is sad to read about the violence in Chicago today.  I doubt the kids were in the area.
