After I left my sister's, I went to the local Trader Joe's on the west side of Olympia.

I got there and they had someone at the front door spritzing people's hands with sanitizer as they entered.

The woman was wearing a mask (as was everyone else) and she started chatting with me.

She's been working there for years, and I knew that, but I just didn't recognize her with the mask on.

She also had shorter hair than I've ever seen her with, so there's that.

Anyway, after I recognized her, we chatted and caught up a bit, so that was fun.

I mainly just meandered around the store and got some stuff that I wanted, then I decided to go to Wendy's for dinner, since it's also on the west side.

I got to Wendy's and the drive-thru line was just too long, so I left.

After I left Wendy's, I decided to drive through McDonald's, but the McDonald's right next to Wendy's was closed.

Interesting photo, Jane. Were there many customers? I know you eat early; do you know if there's been much of a turn-out later in the evening?

I didn't ask how busy the evenings have been.  We had been told the quiet time is around 3:00.

We went extra early to be sure and see one waitress before she left.  We knew the other waitress was starting at 3:30 and wanted to get her table.  It was a beautiful day here and it seemed fairly busy.  By the time we left there were people lined up to be seated.

So, I decided to go to the other McDonald's on the west side to see if they're still open, and they were.

The restaurants I frequent or pass by haven't had a lot of customers, but that could change if people become more comfortable with the idea.

We asked the waitress that leaves early and only works inside during the days what that looks like.  She said she is usually the only waitress working 6 tables.  Someone else works the bar side of the restaurant.  There must be 25 tables on her side of the restaurant :(

I stopped at the bank yesterday and asked for several rolls of quarters, which I use for laundry and parking meters. I was told that they could only give one roll to a customer due to the nationwide coin shortage. Has anyone experienced this?

No but I have read about the shortage.  I wondered about the banks.  I hope you can find more change.

The Federal Reserve has said that it's because so many businesses are closed, but that makes no sense to me, particulary since so many of us use our credit cards for our purchases.

That is why I expected banks to have change.

It improved when I added some Hershey's chocolate syrup.

I got there and they had someone at the front door spritzing people's hands with sanitizer as they entered.

That's funny.  They do not have wipes to take like the markets do.  They have sanitizer pumps at ours which are kind of hidden.

Had Carney's for lunch - one hot dog with red cabbage, and one cheeseburger - very good.  Then worked on several things, got a yay from one of the three guest stars I've been waiting on, another Tony nominee, and since she's in NY I set a NY pianist to do her track and they've done it before so that should be fine.  All songs chosen, too.  Then tonight I watched a documentary on Amazon Prime, then took a forty-minute walk, which I haven't done in over two months, then had to work on a track for about thirty minutes - the one really difficult thing doing our shows this way is any song that has any ebb and flow and rubato.  So, in this case the song is nothing BUT that, but I know how the phrasing works best so we adjusted it and it sounds great and gives the singer plenty of room to phrase freely within certain constraints.
