On a happier note, today is my dad's 82nd birthday! I think my mom is going to take him to the local casino, then the family will all celebrate together on Saturday.

Our heat wave continues. We're told day after day that it's breaking and the temps will drip to the low 80s, then we have another 90+ day. As if everyone isn't already stressed as it is, we now have the heat to deal with. Arrrggghhh!

Glad that BK's new AC filter is helping.

I had a similar problem several years ago with my AC. It just wasn't doing the job anymore. Someone asked me if I'd cleaned the filter. I didn't know that window units have filters. It's hidden and you wouldn't see it unless you really looked for it. But I had the owner's manual and that showed a diagram. I cleaned it and it was indeed better.
