Today was Needle Day (acupuncture), then I had my glasses adjusted. I'm trying out a new optometrist. He's an older man and seems quite nice. I can't have new glasses made until after the ophthalmologist does his little procedure on me and that probably won't be until sometime in the summer. So many delays because of Covid!

Summer seems a long time to wait, but then I have been waiting two years for new glasses.

I've been trying to get a consultation with this ophthalmologist for two years. I now have an appointment in May, but then there'll be another wait for the procedure.

The first year was my decision to wait as I mostly wore my contacts.  Waiting was a big mistake.

Wow.  I hope nothing prevents you from keeping the appointment in May.

I wish I had something positive to report, but I've just been trying to take care of various appointments and errands.

I've been watching an old BBC series called IN DEEP, about a pair of undercover officers. It's not bad.

Chinese food is finished - I ordered the "small" versions of two dishes - orange chicken and cashew chicken - both were good but not great. It hit the spot, however. I am very full - didn't finish either but ate most of both, figuring that parsing it out it would have been one for lunch, one for dinner.

I don't know if it's just me or filming limitations due to Covid, but I've been having more trouble than usual finding shows of interest to me.

Have you found a Chinese restaurant in the Valley that you're usually happy with or are they just pretty good?

People who go back cannot bring their own hand sanitizer with them, no personal items to place in their work space. They must wear a mask at all times except when seated at a desk undisturbed. If some comes over to talk to you, it’s mask time.

I am rather sensitive to most hand sanitizer and would be unhappy if I couldn't use my own.  Odd too that you can't carry it with you as long as you take it home at night.

My thoughts are that it’s really a big bottle of alcohol. And they don’t really want that.

We have.  We will have eight nights there.  I hope the weather is nice so we can take Freyja for walks and to the park.

The work of the artist will be here when everything else is gone.

Great quote from John Lewis at the end of the extras in Good Trouble

The only one we are watching is Resident Alien.  I don't think it is your cup of tea though I believe DR George might like it.

That sounds to me more like what they would provide in the office.

Had another fine salad tonight with lettuce from the back yard. I wonder how long it will last. It will certainly get too hot soon, though today was relatively cool. Not more than 70 degrees.

Is his name Paul?
