There's a little hole in the wall used record store just down the street and they sometimes get in some of the newer films on Blu-ray so I'll check out what they have. Haven't been in there in over a year.

Same tree, four seasons.

It is a lovely day here. After a walk, we set up the patio with the outdoor furniture.

A bit of a funny story.

I have to do some regular online Zoom work. I finally bought a small retractable green screen that fits on the back of your office chair to block out the background of your room. It came in a canvas bag, and when you pull it out, it springs to full size. It looks and works great. But when I went to store, I realized I had no way of knowing how it goes back to the small size, and no directions were enclosed.

After some investigation online, I was able to figure out how the bendy metal frame "folds" back into the small storage size.  Fun!

Earlier today Keith heard sirens and saw emergency vehicles, then he saw the smoke.

He wanted me to walk down and check it out.  I was heating my leftover pizza and didn't want to leave.

By the time I did go, about an hour later, the trucks were gone and I couldn't see anything except water and foam on the ground.

Apparently we have a swampy area across from the first building and that is what was on fire.

Funny, I walked by and looked at the buildings but never checked the ground across from them.  The part I walked to leave the property looked ok.

Ushered for the children’s ballet, but they would only let one usher in for the performance. So, I worked outside and then went to help out with the symphony.

My little green screen setup is just a mite less extravagant than this inflatable green screen booth.

Vegetable frogs just have too much fun.

I watched the first Brokenwood mystery of the previous season today. Felt like falling back in with old friends.

I also made a new soup, Summer Minestrone, with green beans, baby limas and peas. It was quite good, but the recipe must have had a mistake. They only gave you 4 minutes to cook the green beans — and they tasted raw. No thanks. First real mistake in the book.

I’m down to 12 soup recipes left in this book.

For a birthday party tomorrow, I made sausage and peppers for 10. Turns out there 20 guests, so I will cut the sausages in half.
