Earlier this evening, I had high hopes for tonight’s local fireworks. All week they have been pleading with people to refrain from using them, because of the severe drought.

This isn’t quite as bad as last year. The HOA has made it clear that there would be $10.00 fines for setting off fireworks in the complex. So, all of this noise is slightly distanced from me.

Fireworks have been going off (and loudly) for quite a while. Fortunately, they're starting to slow down a bit.
