I've had a scare, and the firemen just left my apartment. I was lying down with the cats and watching television - more on that tomorrow - and I kept smelling gas or propane or something, and I thought it was blowing in from the window. This had been going on for several hours, and I finally got spooked and called 911. A fire crew arrived and went through the building holding monitors to the apartment doors. When they got to mine, the fireman's monitor blew up, but he found the problem: one of the dials to a burner on my stove had been turned on but the pilot light hadn't lit. This must have happened around 2:00 while I was trying to get onto that damned ladder to wash the doors. I felt very foolish, but I didn't kill the cats, thank God.
I'm fatiguing and need to rest.TTFN.
Some moron a few houses north is shooting off huge fireworks - the cops don't give a crap or I would call them.
Now, at almost 11:30 pm it continues to go on and on.

They have begged people to NOT shoot off fireworks, but then turn around and tell you are not allowed to call 911 to report fireworks. Then what the f—-are you supposed to do? Take out your gun and go shoot the people?
And I never did make that damn tuna-pasta salad today.
