She is applying for a job with the State of Washington.

Ironically it is the job she used to do until the State farmed the job out to Pierce County.

My co-worker Linda took two and a half weeks of vacation in September. Now, she's taking THREE whole weeks THIS month because she has so much vacation and comp time built up...AND she'll still need to take a few days more before the end of the year.

I just checked a couple of days ago and currently, I have about 296 vacation hours, so I'll need to take about a week and a half off at some point. I don't want to move it to my sick leave because I have over 1300 hours of that!

They changed it several years ago, but it used to be that we had to be under 240 hours each month. To me, that seemed easier to manage.
