So I cleaned up the broken mugs, and then I picked up the coffee maker, took it inside, and started another pot.

I put my breakfast casserole into the oven. It needed one hour to bake. After one hour, it was still too soupy. The oven was on, and I left it in to keep cooking.

The "sunrise" service only lasted ten minutes. I had expected it to last a half hour. So my biscuits weren't ready to go into the oven.

I upped the temp in the oven to get the casserole to bake faster and put in the biscuits. After ten minutes, neither one was done. The oven didn't seem to be very hot.

So I turned it up ALL the way. Finally, things began to cook. But everyone was waiting on the casserole and biscuits to be ready. Finally, the casserole was done, but the top had burned spots.

The biscuits and sausage gravy was a big hit, though. So that was a success.

After breakfast, I put the dishes to soak, and I got out those 65 big cookies for the kids to decorate. I colored the frostings so they would be pretty, and I got out all the sprinkles.

The cookies were ... something else. LOL. They were a hot mess. I loved the artful way the little kids decorated them.

After about a dozen were decorated, someone came into the room and said, "Come on, kids! We're making flowers. You want to make flowers, don't you?"

So they took the kids out, and I was left with all those cookies and the frosting I spent so long making. I was not very happy.

I frosted a bunch of them, but I have a lot left over. I was just very annoyed. I will decline to do that next year. I'm in favor of having activities for the kids between the breakfast and Sunday School, but have one at a time.

That was a disappointing morning, DR Laura. Sorry you and your efforts aren't more appreciated there.

The best thing that happened today was that I had a bike that my Birding Buddy gave me to donate to the yard sale. I gave it to a young man who has been struggling. His bike that he used to get to work was stolen. He was so happy.

Also, it is too hot for mid-April.

First, I set up the big coffee maker and got it going. Then I put the mugs on the table. All of a sudden, the table leg gave way and everything went crashing to the ground.

Oh no!

Did you know there would be flower making as well?  I think you should let the powers that be know how hard you worked and that you won't be doing it again.

My Easter lunch with family went very nicely.  We had ham, rice, cheese/pineapple casserole, creamed corn, mac n cheese, fruit, biscuits, tea.

I ate my fill.

Had a very nice visit with everyone.
