I had one, apparently minor, MRI previously. I don't recall what it was for, but it lasted only about 10 minutes, so I had no idea what to expect for this one. The worst part is that no one told me what they would be doing before they did it. They just started putting stuff on me...and it was a bit unsettling.

DR Jeanne: Just a thought about your ordeal scheduling your YAG. I am wondering if the problem is with uncertainty of the ophthalmologist's availability in the near future. Is it possible he (or she) is facing some life-changing events that may make definite scheduling for now a challenge?

Of course, it would be nice for that office to be able to refer you to a backup doctor, but sometimes that isn't practical.

Thanks to all for the vibes/concerns expressed over my MRI yesteday.

It seems like ancient history now. Not only did I have a three-hour nap yesterday afternoon, but I slept 8 1/2 hours last night without waking up one time.

I feel very refreshed.

I have no idea when I will learn the results of the test. I have a follow-up appointment with the ENT doctor who ordered the test on December 4th. I presume I'll learn of the results then unless something turns up that requires more immediate attention.
