Georgia High School Cancels Crucible Mid-Run

Be sure to watch the kid's video statement at the bottom of the article.

This infuriates me.

It is very upsetting.

Ushering for the Philharmonic tonight. They’re doing Mahler’s second symphony. Should be fun.

Fun, you say? Hell, the Second is one laugh after another!  :D

I enjoy it. When they were still the San Antonio Symphony, I heard them play it twice. They local Meistersingers group also do well with the piece.

I was to play the organ in that once, but the huge rented Allen (very pipe organ-like) refused to power up at the time of the performance. Some kind of total power supply failure in the instrument itself. But playing it was a magnificent feeling - and sound! - at the previous day's rehearsal.

That's too bad that you didn't get to play the performance,  ChasSmith.

It was disappointing, but I got to watch and hear it, and it was magnificent. And with the great orchestral performance the organ was hardly missed.

One of my son’s friends lives with their backyard right on the border. We haven’t done this, but the kids could look at each other across the border but not cross over to play.

They could set up a board game between them and play ;D

Rodzinski:

Mom crushed on him back in the day.

What your mother might not be telling you is that due to his romantic voice he was considered the best "make-out singer" ;D

Oh she’s quite clear on that. And I have her old LPs where her nurses training buddies have scrawled innuendo in pen on Johnny’s photos.

Having lunch at a Mexican seafood place. There’s an alarming amount of garlic in the sauce on the shrimp.

That sounds horrible to me.

We returned home from the gym today and our place smelled like a chemical was used.  The contractor kindly used the product while we were out.

While he was working he kept the door open with the screen shut.  Since he used it in the hall, outside my office, he had to close and lock the door once he went back to our bedroom/bathroom to continuing working on the bathroom.

Now the windows in my office are open as is the back door with the screen shut.  We have a great cross vent going on the windy day.

Heard from my PCP's team - they recommend setting up some video appointment on the CS link app. So, in other words, deflecting to others what I feel they should be doing - filling a prescription and doing a referral and answering my questions. Weird. Appointment will have to wait until Tuesday and last time I did it it took an hour of waiting beyond the scheduled time.

Bruce, your doctor might want to run some test to determine there isn't a medical reason that you aren't losing weight.

I'm going to clarify what it is that my doctor actually does because I don't understand doing this video consultation with some other doctor.

BK, did you try cooking your own food? Avoiding processed food and unnecessary carbs?

Not going low carb, because I know you didn't feel well doing that. But avoiding sugar, pasta, bread, etc. But still eating fruit, meat, and vegetables?

“I play great music. People like the music I play. But it’s funny because my father would not have thought about music for me. But I do. I think I have an ear for music. They play a note, like on the piano, and then I remember it to this day. And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

And doing some kind of aerobics, even if it is just walking fast.

I hope this was caught early enough so that he can be treated and that the damage isn't permanent or too bad.

How much do you normally spend on a bottle of wine?
