Thanks, everyone, for the condolences. I will tell Sandra about it.

They play a note, like on the piano, and then I remember it to this day. And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

We were awakened in the middle of the night by an Emergency Alert. One of the ones that is supposed to be dire emergencies. Like a fast-moving fire or tornado or hurricane.

It was a Silver Alert.

They found the person, but did they really need to wake up the entire city?

It seems to have affected the whole city, even when alerts are turned off on the phone.

Try another pharmacy for your shingles shot, Chas. If this weekend is what fits your schedule, get it anywhere else.

I concur.

Wife was picking up a prescription at the Blaine Rite Aid the other day and they tell her it’s not ready, come back in an hour. Comes back, sorry we can’t fill till we get comfirmation from your insurance which could take days. “I live an hour away, couldn’t you have texted me?”
Guy goes, “We’re bankrupt, so there are some glitches lately. We might not even be open in a couple days.”

DR Laura, sad news about Asha. I'm so sorry. I cannot believe her original owner had her for 12 years ans gave her up because of his wife. I'd have kept the cat and lost the wife.

I kinda felt that way, too, Elmore. She's from a culture that doesn't appreciate animals inside the house, so I guess it's a bit of a miracle Asha was there that long. My friend is a good guy, though. He tried hard to keep her. Asha was in very good hands. Sandra really spoiled her.

I expect Asha was better off in a home where she was completely loved.  I feel bad for your friend though.  He probably thought his wife would grow to love Asha.

He had to move first to for the new job and find housing. He tried to find a way to get her there, but it all fell through. His wife said she wouldn't bring her on the plane.

I can see how that might of been beyond her to do that :(
