Got some chicken soup from Art's - the tri-salad and the soup is all they do well. Not any more. The soup was rancid-tasting - foul - I had three or four bites and into the trash it went. Got a full refund.

Not ready to order anything else - I have a few things here but I'm not in the mood to make anything.

Watching something called The Art of Love. James Garner, Dick Van Dyke, Ethel Merman with pink hair, Elke Sommer, Angie Dickinson, Fifi D’Orsay. Carl Reiner wrote. Cy Coleman did the score. Norman Jewison directed.

That sounds wild!

Excellent.  There is hope it won't linger too long.

I wish it were. It’s kinda frantic without being much fun.

Cy Coleman’s score is part Lalo Shifrin, part Mancini, part Avengers.

I'll bet DR Freddie could turn that into a "But Alive!" quatrain.

Conference attendees are being told if they venture off the 2nd floor of the hotel, or leave the hotel, that they should remove their conference credentials and yarmulkes for security. What a sad state our world is in.

I'll try.

And I'm like salsa on veal scallopini,
Part Lalo Schifrin and part Hank Mancini,
But alive!  But alive!  But alive!

We issued Cy's The Art of Love soundtrack on a double bill with, I think, Divorce, American Style.

Vixdad, my Mom and I went to the wake this afternoon. There were a lot of old friends and their children( who are themselves in their 40's now).

One of the daughters, who I often babysat when she was a tyke said, looking around the room at all of us, how wonderful it was to have friends for 50 years. She thought of us all as aunts and uncles.

Vixdad and I have had tickets for some months to see a show tonight " The Sixties Show" which is a band that plays a variety of songs from ( yes you guessed it) the 1960's.
