My throat is kind of sore this morning. Don't need THAT. But it's weird - sometimes I swallow and it's fine - then sometimes it's sore over on the right. But my neck on the right feels really out of whack so maybe it's that.

I found this interesting while looking up Hall and Oates songs
 - on the wiki for "Maneater" but it's also about "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" -

Well, the Con Edison crew has finally left our block . . . but today we hae a crew putting up scaffolding around our building to check for any damages to the building's facade to insure nothing will collapse onto the street. The noise of the crew is driving both the cats and me up the wall.

God knows how long this mess will go on.

The show was fine after the three days off. Beautiful night, the audience was into it in the good weather, and the cast is excellent -- very capable and dependable, and their overall training is obvious.

For local theeder, it's a great show that for my taste would mainly be bettered in the orchestra department. But ... ten people, half of them students - and I still wish a few of them were a little higher in the pecking order than that. A couple of them have noticeably improved after three performances, but another one, maybe two, leave something to be desired. Too many moments of slop, which I hope are not so obvious out front.

I should mention my recent enjoyment of a number of Big Ass* Salads. They're basically "garden salads", sometimes with some chicken breast pieces thrown in, everything nicely chopped (not "tiny" chopped or diced, just cut into nice half-bite-size pieces) and tossed with my favorite Ken's Steak House thousand island or Russian or peppercorn ranch dressings. Not too much of the dressing, either, just enough to lightly coat everything. I make the salads large enough to be almost a full meal for myself. It's time to branch out a bit on the variety, but these have been most satisfying.

*(Not ASS, mind you. Just Ass.)

We've been having trouble with our innerwebs lately. We rush-ordered a new modem or whatever. That didn't help. Turns out the cable company is digging up stuff around here and messing everything up. We were down all afternoon and evening yesterday.
