This ad from the latest edition of the AARP magazine advises me that I should not attempt to lift my wheelchair over my head.

In related matters: AARP is also offering free streaming of the musical BONNIE AND CLYDE.

I wonder if I'm old enough to join. ;)

The AI overview info (through google) says:

"You can join AARP at any age, but membership benefits are geared towards those 50 and older, though some benefits are available to younger members. While AARP focuses on issues affecting those 50+, anyone 18 or older can become a member."

How about that mix of numbers and text for no reason?

Did I miss that?

DR John G.: what makes a pie a "chess" pie? Is it the custard part?

It has to make you sing Someone Else’s Story.

Yes, it’s referring to the custard.

TOD: I watched Silicon Valley until the first season without TJ Miller. In the first episode the main character was repeating the same mistakes he's made throughout the series, having apparently learned nothing from recent experiences. The series as a whole had degraded since it's brilliant opening season, but that was the tipping point for me.

I find it very annoying when there isn't any growth with the characters, at least with those that need to grow.

An interesting rendition of Verdi's "Anvil Chorus" by the Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus.

Very sexy...and very good singing, too!

Before going I looked up items I haven't been able to find in our local stores anymore and found them listed.

Other items, such as Yardley soap, needed to be ordered online and then picked up in the store.

Shocking was that soap for sale was kept under lock and key, which is why I walked right past those shelves and never looked inside for bars of soap.

I guess the soap is flying off the shelves, so to speak.

Tonight my sister Paula and I are going to see THE CEMETERY CLUB.

Two performances - two standing ovations.....so I hope tonight continues the trend.

This weekend my friend Vickie who directed Act Two is doing the green room circle and curtain speech.  Next week I will be doing it - and then drive home I will be done by 8:05 or so - plenty of time to drive home while it is still light.

SHOCKER!!!!

The version of Sex Kittens Go To College starring Mamie Van Doren that is now onDEMAND on TCM is the European version.

Near the end- the robot goes to sleep and we have five solo strippers doing their routines while he watches and beeps.....much scanty attire AND topless flouncing about.

I had never seen this version.

Exactly. Just as in real life, there would have been so many new mistakes for the character to make. Repeating the same one is so boring.

LOL.  I truly was shocked.  Mostly it was large bottles of Dove along with some bars of Dove.  I wonder if the rest of the soap was elsewhere and I simply couldn't find it.  I did ask an employee to walk be to the soap.  The bottle of Softsoap were on a different isle.

That and repeating the same bad behavior and then whining about it.

I am back on my feet, but not 100%, after my recent surgery. Recovery always seems to take longer than you expect — frustratingly so. All seems to be on track, though.

Thank you for all the vibes. I’m sure they helped.

I was so annoyed with PBS yesterday. I wanted to stream Call The Midwife, but couldn’t find it on the PBS site. They had a link to the show’s page, even a Where to Watch section, but no information on where to stream. It’s available on Amazon Prime, but for a fee. Given how long I’ve been supporting PBS I don’t feel I should have to pay a fee for a PBS show. Grrrr. I think very highly of PBS programming, but their viewer relations often suck. They won’t answer questions, either — they just refer you to the FAQs. Double grrr.
