Tonight we start the second week of performances for The Cemetery Club.

I expect attendance to be light....unfortunately.

The box office is open from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and we received not one call during those hours yesterday. Of course after 7:30 p.m. when everything was locked up and the box office person was gone.....the phone rang. Some dumbass who can't read was trying to call. My office keys were in the car, so I didn't bother to answer.

When that happens it's never a question about tickets.

I am dragging my ASS this morning and have just canceled my monthly-or-so dinner meeting with my director (of various other things, not the current show) which was to have been tonight. We both really enjoy those, but he was dragging, too, as it turns out, and next week is clear for both of us.

And today is the last day off before our final three performances in this rather ungodly heat and humidity. We only hope for no storms between now and Sunday, but the way the forecasts are going, that's a big hope. This air mass is too hot, too humid, and too unsettled to expect nothing at all.
