And here it is, a Thursday once again.

Tonight we start our last weekend, three more shows, closing Saturday night. No Sunday performance, as they're already in tech for the next show.

And one last (I hope!) day of 90+ and high humidity. If the forecasts I've been looking at are valid, tomorrow and Saturday we fall back to a high of 80 degrees, still with sunny clear skies, and won't it be glorious for tomorrow and Saturday nights if that actually comes to pass.

But today will be another Hell no matter how you cut it, and I'm cutting it fairly thick.

I just paid an ugly bill. And this morning, soon, I must go out and mow the "lawn" which is badly overgrown. Later I have to finish re-putting up a set of bookshelves that have been down for a while, in a new place. I think that's about it, before getting ready for the show.

I had seen her here and there, but didn’t watch Barefoot Contessa consistently. After reading this book, I binge-watched her “Be My Guest” series and one of her guests was Erin French from The Lost Kitchen. So I read HER memoir, Finding Freedom, then binge-watched her “Getting Lost with Erin French” series.

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America stands out. Only half of the story is a true crime story.
