Two interesting things happened yesterday afternoon, both possible sources of income. I got an email from the Packard Humanities Institute about (finally!) releasing the John McGlinn recordings from London, 2001. Then, I got a call from Phil Chan, one of my collaborators on the ballet Star on the Rise, about a fee to use sections of the ballet score in a documentary on ther making of the ballet.

That's great, Larry!  How many recordings are there?

Five:
Herbert: Babes in Toyland, The Lady of the Slipper
Kern: Leave it to Jane, Have a Heart, Oh,Lady! Lady!

Watched the last half of Z Channel. Most gratifying, and sadly depressing at the end for, um (no spoilers here), various reasons. But definitely enjoyed it. I'll catch the other features on the disc over the weekend.

I've decided this is my best night to attend a local theeder's Camelot which I need to see. So that shall be done and I'll have the weekend free.

I'll need to show up at the outdoor theeder's Little Mermaid, too, and that could be Sunday evening or possibly next Thursday evening. To be decided between now and, I guess, Sunday.

Finally, the new book page is almost working. PayPal makes the buy buttons so EASY now, but Doug couldn't figure it out and spent hours on it and finally got it to work but instead of a buy button it put in a link - don't want that.

And of course, he gets frustrated. This morning I went in and looked at what he'd done because it saves everything in case you want to edit. It put in a link because - wait for it - that's the option that's the default - literally to the right is another thing that says or Buy Button - you just choose  that, click update, and it's there. It took me one minute to figure all that out.

Camelot was the first show that I was in that the late, lamented Abbey Players (a local theater group that folded about 20 years ago :( ), put on in 1991.

I had many wonderful experiences with them, including my first (and only) starring role, Charlie Brown in their production of the revised version of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

ChasSmith, do you know if your local theeder's production is the recent revised version, or the original?

I don't, but I *think* someone said it is NOT the revised.

I saw Cleo Laine in the original Drood where she was a great Princess Puffer. I also saw her on tour in Into the Woods as the Witch. Very droll personality. Loved that low, smoky rumble of a voice.

Since most the Wordle scores I have seen today were six, I wasn't surprised when Keith read it was a difficult one.

We finished watching the 8th and final season of ELITE, the Netflix soap opera thriller from Spain. After over 60 episodes, I think we'll both miss its outlandish twists and turns.  It felt like they gave the show an interesting ending that was a real series finale.
