I just read that Loni Anderson died :(

Oh, no. :( And only two days before her 80th birthday.

We just watched the first episode of DEPARTMENT Q on Netflix!  Most intriguing!  (But kind of violent.)

I know.  I didn't see what illness she was suffering from so maybe she was ready to let go :(

Needed a movie night. Seeing The Tale of Zatoichi, a Japanese samurai movie, at the Alamo Drafthouse. Should be fun.

We're watching the trashy THE HUNTING WIVES - one episode at a time, though.  Some of the reviews (and a commentator on CNN) made it sound like the series overall pays off if you stick with it, so I'm very curious about where it must be going to get some of the praise it's gotten.

John G, sending health vibes for your friend from the dance contest.  And hopes that you're safe from having caught anything!

Sample online comment for THE HUNTING WIVES - "The Hunting Wives is sleazy, twisty and a hell of a summer binge"

From NBC News - "The salacious new crime show, set in a fictional east Texas town, has struck a chord with both liberals and conservatives. '

Not a word I use very often, however, I think it is appropriate here.

I love Two For the Road and My Fair Lady.  While I think Wait Until Dark is great it isn't something I would watch over and over again.

Any thoughts. - is there a connection between Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly saying that whistling is "easy" -

Breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey Hepburn Holly Golightly Cab Whistle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRwg56TES7U

and the lyric in Anyone Can Whistle saying whistling is "easy"

Back -- from a grueling but ultimately successful student vocal concert. We just don't get enough rehearsal for these. Most of the kids are well worth hearing, but I have started to mark in my music the places where someone goes up on words or jumps a couple of beats in the run-through, because even though they take the correction, I can almost guarantee it's going to happen in the performance.

Of course I was Mr. Perfect, and didn't slop a single note anywhere. Nope, not me. That must have been some other guy.

Anyway ... DONE.  :)

One was a suite from The Ghost of Versailles and the other a suite from Altered States.

Fantastic scores, both. In my oh so humble opinion, of course.
