Great photos from yesterday's No Kings march!  I went to the small one near me, in the area of Fairfax County, VA (named after Lord Fairfax) ironically called "Kingstowne."

I tried, I really tried - sat on my couch and put on Invasion USA from where I left off and despite nine and a half hours of sleep, out like a light until seven-thirty, at which point Doug called.

Since it's a slow posting day,

"NO KINGS WEEKEND" SHILLING FOR YOUTUBE VIEWS LINK - Also, if any of the many Guests haven't seen this, please click and add to the views.

Felt like an OK time to think (and maybe sing) about the upcoming U.S. 250th anniversary of independence -

Independence FROM a King!

Here's a parody song for the whole family, which in musical theater terms could be seen as a crossover between "Mary Poppins" and "1776."

The U.S. will celebrate its "Semiquincentennial" on July 4, 2026. An unwieldy word to say and write, but it's still quite a few months away - so there's still time to learn how to spell and pronounce it properly.

"SEMI-QUIN-CENTENNIAL"-  a "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" parody

Another question I asked on castrecl, but maybe someone here will knows this, or even just find the article interesting:

This article today by Jen Tepper (Oct. 19) on BroadwayWorld mentions the musical "Other World," which had a tryout production at Delaware Theatre Company in 2022.

https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/10-Musicals-About-Technology-That-Came-Before-MAYBE-HAPPY-ENDING-20251019?utm_source=newsletterdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=daily&uuid=175541&utm_content=zid-175541

The article says: "An inventive original musical that has received two pre-New York productions, Other World explores the phenomenon of multiple role player video games. With book by Hunter Bell, and music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and Ann McNamee, the show follows a gamer and non-gamer who are sucked inside the world of a video game... "

Has Other World had another pre-Broadway production besides Delaware Theatre Company in 2022?  If so:  Does anyone here know where the second production was?

Don’t know, Freddie.

Thanks, John.  Maybe someone else will know something.  I know OTHER WORLD  was talking about a tryout at Phoenix Theatre Company at some point in the future, the same regional theater where DR Laura saw Jack Viertel's now-Broadway-bound LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL a few months ago.
