Rehearsal was fun and we have a new gal - she looks miserable but I think she'll be fine. She worked backstage on Drat and we all liked her.

But, you know, she arrived, we threw her onstage and put her in all the numbers, so that's a hard first day. I also finally had my two actors who are in the show that's opening and that was a pleasure. I got them blocked into everything, too.

Finished at one and three of us went to the Coral Cafe. I had almost no voice due to four hours of sleep, but it was nice to sit and have a meal.

I'd been craving their great patty melt (onions but raw) and it was great and a patty melt. Along with some fries. I got a piece of coconut cream pie for later.

I stopped at the mail place and picked up packages - the Levin Estate finally returned my Drat! The Cat! charts. I honestly thought they were just going to keep them, it was taking so long. I'll have to lug all that back to storage.

Then somewhere around four I had to just sit on the couch. I turned on the Firestick, went to YouTube and about two minutes later was out like a light. Next thing I knew it was six.

Had a telephonic conversation and then went back to the couch, went out like a light, and the next thing I knew it was nine.

Streaming vs physical. On Love Quirks, I didn't want the bother of streaming - I let them keep that. It's just not enough money to care about on that kind of thing.

I knew about the London production - you'd have thought they would have bought a few CDs to sell in the lobby - not one copy.

They must be sending out mp3s rather than CDs to try and drum up interest. Well, good luck. The entire POINT of doing the CD was to have a physical thing to send to people. But I'm not them and other than using its composer in a couple of Sami episodes, I have had zero contact with anyone involved in that show.

Pie and Pill Three - that's the title of my next novel, a tale of intrigue in a dystopian future, where the president is a former TV host and failed businessman who's in his fifth term. The military patrol the streets and US citizens are arrested regularly if they look askance and sent to live out their lives in a detention center built in the middle of Pomona. It's a chilling novel of a world run amok and awry - but it couldn't happen - could it?
