Well, you've read the notes, the notes had ANS (ACTIVE NOTES SYNDROME), and now it is time for you to post until the ACS (ACTIVE COW SYNDROME) cows come home.

I was just about to post this last night, but the day was locked, so here it is:

The most is k.d. lang. I’ve seen her at least eight times.

Not to brag, but I've seen The Manhattan Transfer live 13, count 'em, THIRTEEN times...and not a single disappointing moment (that I can remember). ;D

Today, I'm going to see (former) DR Jed in a production of The Fantasticks in Tacoma!  It's the same theater company where I stage managed An Inspector Calls last year.  It'll be fun to see him again!

Yesterday's Amazon Fresh delivery did me in. After crawling about on the kitchen floor, tugging bags and shooing cats, dragging packs of 24 bottles of water, and raising and lowering myself too many times, my legs, knee and hip joints began to scream, Genug ist Genug! and worked on their terms, not mine. Around 4:30 I literally crawled into bed and focused on very little. I cannot remember a thing I watched, but all three cats lay with me; at various times Stella fought with Annabelle, and Annabelle fought with Thatch. Yjis morning y legs are still in great pain but I need to cart a lot of empty bags and other items to the basement.

I have a ballet meeting with Doug Fullingtonh this morning on FaceTime to discuss this 20-25 minute ballet we are writing. He got back from his Rhine holidayt on October. 25, and he's been sick since with some crap that's invaded his lungs and vocal chords. Today we will lay out our plans for tomorrow's Zoom meeting with the choreographer and North Carolina School of the Arts.

Drinking some pumpkin spice coffee.

It's just about the only flavoring in coffee I actually like, other than just a pinch of cinnamon now and then.

I love good New Orleans chicory coffee, too. Haven't had that in quite a while.

We watched Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein last night and liked most of it. Our only criticism was that a couple of sections in the middle got a little slow, and at 2-1/2 hours length, a bit of snipping there would have done wonders. But it's a beautiful film.

I'm even inspired to reread the book, which I only tackled once back in my twenties.

I wish I'd seen the 1980(?) Broadway production with John Glover, David Dukes, and Dianne Weist (sp?) with a score by Richard Peaslee (Marat/Sade).

ARLEN AUCTION:

The composer Harold Arlen is best known for the Oscar he won for The Wizard of Oz in 1940. He lived another 46 years without quite matching that feat and left whatever was in his estate to his nephews.

It now turns out he owned a rare early painting by Salvador Dali.

The subject bore a close resemblance to Arlen’s wife.

The painting will be sold at auction by Doyles in NY on November 20.

In other news, travesty last night at the Kennedy Center:

Before tonight’s performance of  Steven’s Classical Mixtape, the National Symphony Orchestra will welcome a very special guest conductor to lead the National Symphony in our national anthem.  Reports are that it will be Trump’s Kennedy Center director Richard Grenell.

In any normal circumstances, the musicians would refuse to play and the director would resign.

UPDATE: He’s now offering the baton at future concerts to the highest bidder.
