I guess this side effect of the weight loss drugs is common enough to have made it into a SNL sketch -
At 3:09 into this video - "Can't afford food? Have some cheap Ozempic.  Now you're not hungry and you get to take one weird painful poop a week."

SNL's opening segment last night -

Thanks, DR Jrand75. I just had a good meeting with Doug about the ballet.

Thanks, DR Freddie. You'd think that info would be up before the release, but . . .

I saw the Frankenstein musical. Talk about Genug ist Genug.

I wish I'd seen the 1980(?) Broadway production with John Glover, David Dukes, and Dianne Weist (sp?) with a score by Richard Peaslee (Marat/Sade).

Nope. The one with Christine Noll and Hunter Foster.

I am enjoying the new Michael Connelly, The Proving Ground. The villain is AI, which is really fun.

Today, I'm going to see (former) DR Jed in a production of The Fantasticks in Tacoma!  It's the same theater company where I stage managed An Inspector Calls last year.  It'll be fun to see him again!

Enjoy the show.

Here's a Times article from Dec. 2020, looking back forty years later on that Broadway FRANKENSTEIN.

It's Sunday!  On the Broadway Radio Show, Barry Joseph talks about his new book "Matching Minds with Sondheim: The Puzzles and Games of the Broadway Legend... it's intriguing, fascinating, entertaining, and a must have if you want a deeper understanding of who Stephen Sondheim was. If you thought you already knew all about Sondheim, you are sadly mistaken as this book will show you. You won’t look at or listen to another Sondheim musical the same way again.

And here comes the snow.

Quite a lot of it, but I don't think we will get any accumulation.

Except for the photo of DJ on the horse, the other photos are my cousin Holly's family photos of our grandparents and her mother from the 1940s and 50s of my grandparents' Appalachian farm.
