In other news, travesty last night at the Kennedy Center:

Before tonight’s performance of  Steven’s Classical Mixtape, the National Symphony Orchestra will welcome a very special guest conductor to lead the National Symphony in our national anthem.  Reports are that it will be Trump’s Kennedy Center director Richard Grenell.

In any normal circumstances, the musicians would refuse to play and the director would resign.

UPDATE: He’s now offering the baton at future concerts to the highest bidder.

All the actors were really good...not a weak link in the bunch.

I would have liked to have seen it.

There were no microphones and you could hear everyone and everything.

The best way to listen.

Moonshine & Mistletoe is finally up at the Joy Machine Records website, along with the recording booklet.

Very cool!  And it's great that they have the booklet.

I saw the Frankenstein musical. Talk about Genug ist Genug.

I wish I'd seen the 1980(?) Broadway production with John Glover, David Dukes, and Dianne Weist (sp?) with a score by Richard Peaslee (Marat/Sade).

Nope. The one with Christine Noll and Hunter Foster.

I used to have that cast recording.

Today, I'm going to see (former) DR Jed in a production of The Fantasticks in Tacoma!  It's the same theater company where I stage managed An Inspector Calls last year.  It'll be fun to see him again!

Enjoy the show.

Thanks, Jane!  I did!

That's a nice booklet DR ELMORE

Except for the photo of DJ on the horse, the other photos are my cousin Holly's family photos of our grandparents and her mother from the 1940s and 50s of my grandparents' Appalachian farm.

Very cool!

I wish there was a cast album of James Joyce’s The Dead, but alas, no. In another crowd, I’d sing the praises of Lil Abner’s songs, but that is much appreciated by some folks here, indeed.
