I probably just thought I saw it. It makes more sense that you would have deleted it when you needed to take a break from public posts.
But I set up the "Freddie" account almost the same day as I dropped the "FJL" account. (Maybe BK told me don't be ridiculous or something like that?)
My Dad especially had the totally opposite reaction to what my sister-in-law was trying to show them as me being "shmeeruch" on the internet, that this reflected on the whole family somehow, as if who the heck knows who Hilary and Joann Landau are.
First, Mom and Dad were confused why was Joann even reading and printing out (and showing them) pages from a gay gossip site like DataLounge looking for these things about "Freddie" at all?
But more importantly to the parents - the same pages were also saying things like "Betty Buckley needs to go to Bellevue" or "Mandy Patinkin is a raving lunatic" - and Dad and Mom were seeing "Freddie" and the videos even being discussed at all, on these same DataLounge pages that were discussing Betty Buckley and Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone!!!
So this "shmeering" was not a negative to Dad and Mom the way Joann tried to paint it, especially because I continued to visit them regularly and stay with them with no sign of lunacy. To them it looked like a positive, like my work was getting out into the world - this came with the territory of putting your work and music out there into the world.
But Joann kept bringing stuff from the internet to them from my postings and when this strange group of people were posting online about how terrible and delusional I was.
