Off to JFK now, where it looks like my flight is delayed a couple hours but they want us there on time anyway.

How could I forget the OC Mame LP yesterday? A staple in my house.

It actually was as sunny a day as we’ve had lately, but in Southern California where it never rains.  Seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before.

By the way, it’s not a soundtrack exactly, but the Disneyland Records “Songs About Winnie the Pooh and Tigger,” produced/arranged by Camarata and featuring Sterling Holloway and Louis Prima and a gorgeous choir. That’s one great recording. Pull that off your shelf sometime and put it on your turntable.

Kind of like a Yogi Berra lyric?  Nobody goes there, it's too crowded.

Last night DR Rodzinski said:

I’ve been listening to the Do Re Mi original cast recording on RCA with its nifty die-cut sleeve.

I've always been a sucker for those die-cut sleeves and other RCA deluxe packaging such as the Soria Series. (They did a few of the Soria single disc releases in the extra heavy cardboard but without die-cuts, I think). Other die-cuts included an album or two of Dick Schory "exotica" or percussion music. In later years, the first issues of their ".5" half-speed-mastered series were die-cuts, as was Merrily We Roll Along. (If I'm remembering these right, being too lazy to look them up!)

Trying to think of that series name with the die-cut heavy sleeves. Action Stereo, or Stereo Action.

Culled From My Exotica - sounds like a possible title for something

That's it - Stereo Action! There were probably many more than I ever came across.

You probably have, or had, those big book-style albums RCA issued with 10 Living Stereo releases? I never found great copies of those sets, and didn't really seek them out, but I think I still have the one that had some Esquivel and other such.
